As terrible heresy Matt Ward his committed, the Necron codex is STILL decent, but By the Emperor, Kaldor Draigo officially broke the acceptable-fluff boundary several times over. Getting angry at Ward for making this sue is like getting angry at a turd for stinking. I personally blame the editor who let him get away with this. If the editor had only slapped Ward and shouted "TONE IT DOWN!", we might've had a cool and believable hero in the Imperium. But no, they let Ward run amok and now we've got someone who solos Daemon Primarchs and regularly walks into the Chaos god's houses to trash the place.
If the Grey knights are supposed to be the best of the Space Marines, why is it that EVERYONE AND THEIR @#$%ING SENILE GRANDMOTHER CAN PLAY AS THEM!? I mean, COME ON! I wipe the floor with clear of 90% of the guys I play IN PASSING with a small squad(ron?) of Baneblades in at least three rolls.
Wouldn't it make sense for, I don't know, the best of the 40k players to get exclusive access to these supposed badass's badasses so they don't look like complete idiots?
@XXXKingofSorrow It's because they're Games Workshop's poster boys, they're supposedly easy to paint and play, and Games Workshop staff encourage it. The fact they seem to make up half of the codexes in the entire game probably helps.
@Tseuhadon I thought that was the Ultramarines. Though it would help the painting challenge if they didn't make the minis smaller than chess pieces; but hey, that would make sense, and we couldn't possibly do that, could we?
