I think is song is ultimately about facing your fears. She says let in the shadow basically let in the darkness which is something that many people are afraid of. May it be the dark parts of life or literal darkness. She also brings up Silence and this was something that has been haunting the Doctor since the Eleventh Hour and he realizes he has to face his fears.

This is so gorgeous! I love how the lyrics can also reveal some of Season 6's surprises, but also reflect Abigail's life in the cryo-chamber, and how Kazran and the Doctor came and broke her silence. :) Loved this episode. It was nice to see everyone relax and just have a bang-up, old school adventure.
