Hi. Great melody, so colourful. I have the same keyboard at home and it's great. One question - did you use in this melody a sustain pedal ? Because the tones are si bright and prolonged.
Hi Tony (if I'm correct), I love your self-composed song. I realise it's also the way you play that makes the sound and I'm not much of a piano player. However, since yesterday evening I'm the proud owner of a Yamaha PSR E423 (that's how I found you), touching a keyboard after almost 40 years. I would like give it a try with this song, although it might be too ambitious. I was wondering if you have sheet music of this song? Thanks in advance and have a wonderful 2012. Kind regards, Tom
You have composed a fine melody friend. Is it akin to harmony??? By the way, is this Yamaha model - PSR e423, the latest in this segment? I ve read somewhere that Yamaha have released PSR e433 as they did PSR e333 for e323...? Please let me know.
@MrWrgm It's difficult to assess really, as I find the built-in speakers of the PSR E423 better than the E413. I like the E413 though as it's an easily portable carry under arm keyboard and has stood the time test with us upon hundreds and hundreds of kids party show gigs. The best voice I believe on the E413 is the brass section. I also like the trombone section and strings. I find Yamaha keyboards only evolve slightly each time - no doubt to keep up sales momentum.
Thanks for your reply - Casio has really progressed beyond those dollar watches of yesteryear ;^)) I have a ctk6000 that I use, its sounds compare to that of keyboards costing 5 times as much. Cheers to the weekend - Bob (RedEyeC Band)
Beautiful piece - and piano sound from this Yamaha. Can the sound perimeters be tweeked and saved on this keyboard? Also, when layering the dual sound (say Pad for example) is there a volume perimeter that can be adjusted so that this layer could be at a lower volume than the main patch? Thanks -
@RedEyeC To be honest, I just take keyboards out of the box and play them using all apparent voices. I've had a Casio WK for 6 years that everyone tells me will make my breakfast and clean my shoes, but it is all beyond my patience as I am more a musician than a keyboard expert :) Perhaps someone may reply soon to your query. Regards.
