Are you certain these are clones? in my experience Clones that come from the same parent don`t behave in this way. Unless these two Anemones are from sufficiently divergent lineages i don`t think fighting really happens.
thats not necessarily true. anemones can sting eachother. but most likely there flinching because of the toxins let out during coral-chemical warfare.
@darkrenerd Yeah, most people don't know but at night most coral search for food with long tentacles and also stretch out to grow. they are very territorial with other chorals.
This is intense I loved the one on the right and part 0:07 it lookied like bullets grew out of the thing~! I wonder if anemones get bored underwater?...Just sitting there...sitting.....Sitting.....Growing......Living....Whatching.....
Dude, why do you have to be a dick?? It was a fucking question. Obviously you don't know, so do give give me shit for asking. It's people like you that ruin the hobby.
And for your info, there are sebae that resemble that....so eat a dick.
The tips didn't actually change color; they are structures called "acrorhagi" that are distinct from the tentacles. They inflate in response to anemones from a different clone, and are only used in aggression against other anemones (not against prey).

@darkrenerd yes, they have organelles in their stinging cells called nematocysts which fire out and inject venom when touched
