  • I'm glad you did send me this video.Thanks. Its good to see the progress that has been made. Interesting controls on that loco too! Thats a real bonus for Cranmore!

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER Thanks, we hope to be a lot further towards the engine shed by the end of the Year, and yes, the loco does have very... Awkward controls, it's quite hard to get the hang of. ;-)

    Cheers

  • lol you even got the start up and a horn ! ! great bit of Film thanks for showing us Cranmore ..

  • Excellent work Jamie, sorry I haven't responded earlier, but I'm desperately behind with my subscription videos to watch....What's the dial control on the right hand side?..Great job of driving and filming.......Bob

  • @robmasterman That's ok Bob, the Dial control on the Right hand side is attached to teh Gear Box, the loco has three Gears, when turned Clockwise the loco goes foreward, when turned Anti-Clockwise the lco goes Back wards, like a Reverser, and the more you turn it, the higher the Gear you go.

Simple, but a bit difficult to get the hang of driving though! ;-)

    Cheers

  • @Firrboxfryup Thanks Jamie, I've never seen anything like it before, so a little wiser now...Thanks again...Bob

  • @robmasterman I had not seen anything like it either until I first saw this engine back in 2008, it sort of acts as the brake as well, to stop you wind the loco into forward!

It's hard to find Neutral as well, you have to do it by ear, when the loco isn't in gear it doesn't make the Whining sound, and second, if the loco doesn't go flying forward when try to start it is another good sign! ;-)

    Cheers

  • how much further is the line going to go?

  • @CUMMINGSDIESEL All the way to Cranmore West and the Engine sheds eventually, when funds and time allow.

We're about half way at the moment, the line will about 1/4 of a mile long, and if we restore platform two on the Standard gauge railway, we might extend down behind it.

Still a lot of work to do i'm afraid to say! ;-)

Ps. Tinkerbell No.3 is a performer on this line, although it's a pain getting it in there, so it's not there very often.

  • interesting!

  • @ESRLadyNan Yeh...
