Every time I landed the throttle would cut out lol is there anything to make our bikes faster wo touching motor but that isn't too expensive

@kfx450rlink Get an FCI intake. It good for up to a 8 hp gain. Replacing the filter does nothing on this bike at all. Once you put on the intake then you will have a new bike power wise. Might want to look into the Fuel ATV intake since you creek ride. The box give a little more protection. Get to a dyno as well and have it dyno tuned to get it perfect.

Sorry redneck I have and 08 kfx 450r with an motoworks sr4 full exhaust system and kn air filter and 15 front sprocket and fmf programmer and my brother has a 09 monster edition with everything except an exhaust and programmer and he can not hang with me at ALL motoworks rules

@kfx450rlink Well the 15th tooth and pipe makes a diff no matter the exhaust type. But the thing making you win is the programmer. Being able to adjust you quad as needed is like jetting. Makes the bike run right. The stock kawi from the factory is rich and being rich robs power. I had a motoworks full pipe. And the HMF with the open insert made more power on my bike by .5hp. So it made more power. Rider ability has a lot to do with it as well.

@BWRProductions Yep that is my baby!! Going to be sending the motor to LED performance here soon to get the 300PV motor build along with all the goodies from intake to exhaust. Going to redo the frame and all the plastics as well. Basically a new bike.

Bro If U Put A Full Exaughst Do You Have To Put Power Commander ?

@MrBo6li Not on the Kawi. If you do a full exhaust you wont notice a power gain. The big issue is the intake tube. It is extremely restrictive. If you get a FCI or some other intake then yes you have to get a PC. But even a filter replacement won't give any extra power.

ha love the broken skid plate mine lasted all of a couple weeks same thing gear side broke. yeah i hand built a intake for mine got rid of the crapy plastic thing they call an intake got full system exhaust and wiseco fuel controller but the thing that made that thing into a beast was the kx cams hard to find used anymore as there putting them in the klx450 too but i found mine with a head that had a valvel out of it for $52.25 yeh great deal on ebay if you can find them. have fun ridding man...

did you have to get a efi regulater or air box with the slip on?

@JakesPlace12 Not on the Kawi. The slip on doesn't really make any extra power at all. A full system will not make much more at all either. The biggest issue is the intake tube. Once you get a new intake you have to get a programmer. It picks up 6-8 HP with a FCI intake. Even if you get a K&N it doesn't gain any power what so ever.
