@sell50s Hit the PGM (program) button, then select GLOB. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list and select YES for ShowCCinfo. This will show the radio id
Great little scanner, for VHF and UHF this scanner is more sensitive than my Yaesu FT-897 D as compared using the same J-pole in the attic. I sure hope Radio Shack doesn't go out of business, but I almost always see a couple customers in the store when I go. They don't have much radio stuff anymore but what they do have comes in handy!
@jeangys GRE makes the pro 106 scanner. It's basically the same scanner. It just looks different on the outside, but their identical on the inside. Pro 106 is a Psr 500,and the Pro 197 is a Psr 600.
Hello, I have the same thing, could you help me program a trunked frequency. I am trying to program an LTR ID of 05-05-61. It's Windsor CT Police. I know it isn't digital and I live close to the station, so I don't think reception is a problem. The directions are pretty hard to follow and radio shack employees know less about the thing than I do. I have learned so far that you press, PROG, T, then select the mode which is LTR. I type in the code and press enter. Am I doing it right? Thanks :)
I Have a Digital Pro 106 Scanner.

LOL...JPSO sounds pretty good. I monitor them from the Northshore, along with NOPD ("The Real Police"), St. Bernard (I worked for both agencies).
Nice video; thanks for sharing!
