@kaiserdragon33 yeah it's pretty sweet i think. I got the other US version where they play osteogolation by Static X, and while i like that song i like this better and fits better with gameplay
@Dragonlord4530 There are two different versions, i have the version of which you speak, but i THINK that this is a oriental or alt. version where the song is "Shade" by feeder. I got this game when it first game out and im a static x fan. but i still like the shade song better. I might've mention before but the SX song i s believe or not is about a town that wayne static visited and found completely depressing. Yeah...great pick for the final battle of an awesome game! -_-
helpful hint: at the beginning of this level, when the crystal ball deploys those little spheres, destroy all of them but 1 then shoot at the big ball from the opposite side of the little balls, i can usually do that without getting hurt
Is it just me or are games nowadays just not this good...? I mean they are fun, but these old PS1 games are just amazing... It wasn't about graphics and online play... We used what we had... I miss those days...
Can someone plz explain to me the ending? i played this game eons ago and still don't get it. It looks like alpha core tried to take over Omega Boost but then nothing happened, and then after the guy crashes in the 1950's or 60's it just shows him blast off. Wtf?
Never knew bout alt.version with this song in it !
sidenote- whoever put in Static X -otsegolation for the end song on the US version instead of Shade by feeder was an asshole. otsegolation is about a depressing town, shade inspires
@SmokenAces Methinks Alpha Core did indeed try to possess the Omega Boost suit, but was destroyed in the process. Most likely due to the use of Viper Boost or some other anti-Alpha Core measure.
@SmokenAces Basically, Alpha Core's original plan was to go back in time and control the world's first ever computer, and then take over humanity by doing so. At the end, the dude you play as goes back in time and pulls out the computer component that Alpha Core had affected, and replaces it with a normal one, preventing Alpha Core's plan from succeeding.
@TestAcct45 thank you that makes sense now. yeah they really REALLY need to make a sequel to this game. The game actually feels like a precursor to Zone of the Enders. It definitely left with a cliff hanger. They can easily insert any other plans by Alpha Core or another entity. The Omega Boost suit needed a time-tunnel that could propel it through space and time, that would be the only obstacle but that is the glory of sci-fi you can easily insert another angle and improve upon it.
if not for my emmulador epsxe and my copy of omega boost. iso would not play and would enjoy this game ever, is a very entertaining game and brings me great memories of child :)
I remember when first time i got demo something like 2000.y it was second game with mech that i was playing :Ofirst was "mechwarrior 2" then i got full verison of omega boost :> thumbs up Epic game :D btw sorry for my english.
@wzl134 alpha core an artificial intelligence who infected the first human computer and in the future became superpowerfull and try to end humanity kind of terminator way
I wish to have this game again... to give you some advices and tips... man!!! when I was 12 that boss never touch me!! Now I'm 18 and I still know how to play that game... I was untouchable if U know where to buy this game please let me know... peace ;D...
eBay is your friend when searching for old games. I got a copy of this for about $12 off eBay and god am I glad I got it. This game was far ahead of it's time when it came out, too bad it was unheard of for most people.
like the whole viper boost is similar to the zero shift. both robots have A.I. they both have a gatling gun and lasers at their diposal that both start off green then turn white as you get strongerr. their flight and homing capabilites are similar. but jehuty is more up to date so he has like grabbing and stuff like that
I rememeber the Static X song as well. But I feel this song gives you more of a feeling like you gonna win. The Static X song tries to intimidate you.
Wow even with the video quality I can see that this game had some killer graphics. Even with the PS3 and 360 out, this game still looks very very good.
I freaking love this song the first track before you fight his final form and the Jap version of the final form. The US version is cool but the Jap version makes you feel like you watching an anime :) You think any of you guys or the uploader could tell me where to get the OST of the jap version. Oh yea thanks for the upload Cacophanus
Great game...the song in this stage was different from the Omega Boost i owned a few years ago...I'm pretty sure was Powerman 5000's "dreamer",the same song in the opening FMV...thx 4 posting this, very exciting game!
good work dude. That boss is annoying and I saw a really close call when she warps behind you and tries to shoot that huge laser at your back. You where like an inch away lol. nice moves thought, very impressive. Also i like my song better. I didn't have that one on my game.
