I love the nautilus bun! I tried it for the first time yesterday in Chemistry. I had completely forgotten about the lab dealing with fire and I wasn't about to let six years of care and work go up in a few seconds of flame... and I thought of this. I stuck a pencil in that sucker and BAM! I was ready to set some stuff ablaze!
I did the same thing!! I was given a large, but I had no idea what size it was, so I got another large... Had to buy an extra large to just hold a regular cinnabun!
Just found your channel and I LOVE it! I had hair almost as long as yours a while back but I got really stupid and dyed it black. I totally wrecked my hair trying to get rid of it and ended up having to chop it all off. Now I'm trying to grow it back and you are a great inspiration! Thanks for all your tutorials!
the clip is so cool. i make the bun all the time, just never thought of braiding it 8) cant wait for the next tutorial though, sounds so interesting with to pair of hands (or teeth) :P
When I went to Sally's toget a Tangle Teezer they were out and I got their Tangle Tamer. From looking at pics and reading descriptions thry don't seem to be equivalent products so I'm interested in what you will have to say.
Same thing happened to me, I got a small and a medium thinking "Well, my hair is on the thin side, that should be big enough", but I definitely should have gotten a large!
This is so easy! I've got to try this on a friend of mine!
Its so funny cause I saw the bean thing in Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day and thought, "Sheesh! An American version!" Looking forward to that review!
I LOVE my flexis, which I recently purchased. But, I had the same problem with the sizing. The small holds a nice tight pony and half ups where I don't twist or anything, just gather and clip. The medium, which I thought would hold a french twist, actually only holds a flip up. I also got the XL, expecting it to hold my buns and updos easily, but it is too small to go over any round buns. I have to sort of elongate them or just fasten it toward the top. So, I am also going to order a Mega.
heey is it an old guy and a blue ribbon he uses on the video you mentioned? i think i know which one it is, i'm so excited you are the best with braids, can't wait!!
I love your tutorials! But it would be really helpful if you could give a guess at minimum hair length required! Because I often get half way through trying them and realize my hair (a little past shoulder length) is too short :(
@madeofyucca I have found that when I try to guess at what will work, I'm never right. Since I'm so tall, even when I say - "Hey, waist length should be enough!" Waist length on me is sometimes a foot longer than on petite gals. All I can say is try it, and I'm sorry if it doesn't work. :o( I really am.
i love your tutorials but my hair is really curly so i have one long hair but when dry was short.i should dry my hair with what to be moe easy do yours hairstyles?
I just recently stumbled upon one of your videos and thought you were one of the most amazing woman an i spend most of my day watching all of your tutorials. :D

You could always use the smaller one for half up does :)

@buterscotchpudd This is the only style the extra large works in - it works for half-ups. LOL. The large is too small for most of my half-ups.

I have that exact same XL Flexi-8 and I love it. Sadly, a small will hold a pony for me these days. =\

@djurdjica1712 Yup, that's the one! It's actually pretty easy - a bit harder with only your own two hands (and teeth) but still do-able. :o)
