The best thing about Miyazaki-sensei's works is that you get something new out of them every time you rewatch them. I've watched this film five times over the course of 8 years and I realise one just can't fully grasp all the themes and symbols in there in only one viewing. This is what I call a masterpiece :D

I first saw this when I was really young, and it freaked me out. But somehow it always stuck with me, like I could never forget the ending, and it kinda got buried in my memory as some really intriguing mysterious movie that I didn't watch all the way through or really understand. But I just watched it again a few days ago and I was blown away. It's gorgeous in every way.

@ActiviztA1 thats because disney only sponsored it and help make it into mainstream american theatres. It's not a disney movie it's a Miyazaki movie. Disney only probably helped find us voice actors and helped it into US theatres in exchange for a share of the profits and its name on it

@ActiviztA1 this movie was animated and made by studio ghibli and the great director hayao miyazaki :) disney had nothing to do with the making of this flim. same with howl's moving castle disney supplies the english dub..you should watch some other studio ghibli films might i suggest totoro, ponyo, and princess monoke
