  • It's pretty good, but not broadcast quality, too grainy.

  • I was blown away by the quality, and then I switched to to 1080p mode and died!

  • LOL I feel like he's driving the wrong way & i''m a pedestrian!

  • muy buena,la compro ...

  • the best feature of this camera is there are no flares from lights which almost all camcoders have

  • Fat Gecko is sort of expensive

  • ur driving the wrong way!!! lol just kidding

  • oh i love the streets of japan.. clean, neat, and somehow, romantic. thankyou for the video even it was for a test!

  • Cool video. The HD is incredible!!!!

  • es verdad que esa camara grava asi

  • that was disappointing - looks pretty crappy...sry

  • drive on the right side of the rode!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • ...uh...it's "road," not "rode," even in Japan, where they drive on the left.(!!!)

  • Pretty darn impressive...

  • For making small films do you recommend investing in a DSLR or this type of camera?

  • Sony is a shit brand, but I like what they made here

  • The low light sensitivity is amazing! I can't wait to shoot with this cam. thanks to the APS sensor.

  • reminds me of Jet Grind Radio on Dreamcast.

feels like I live there when I watch this. very interesting

  • I like this cam !! I believe if someone is looking to make small films this cam would work right? In editing one can go threw and add color corrections to give that movie / film look !!

  • @MrTestNTune Yes, and yes.

  • mmh ... it looks very dark at the street.... how much gain did you ?

  • Uffff, what a scare! I was thinking that you live in USA

  • Dude you`re driving in the opp.... oh :| nevermind...

  • to me pictures from modern camcorders look as if they have been shoped, or gone through many filters, is this just due to how modern cameras operate?

  • looks like there is some motion blur when the car is making a turn. i get the same thing with my older exmor camera. i guess this is not caused by the lense but how the chip processes the images. I love my camera but this is a weakness it has.

  • @mataloha CMOS chips in combination with shutters produce the "rolling video" effect when rapidly panning. Slow down your pan and it goes away.

  • What video gain settings did you use? The video looks a little dark for that camera..

  • @Ferrarimangp thats probably because its nighttime...

  • let see if there is NEX VG 20 :D

  • do the squares in dark areas come from upload to youtube, or does the camcorder do that with bad quality compression?

  • You should have put the windscreen on the mic.

  • Game graphics and physics look great.

  • Ther white balance seems to be changing all the time.

  • deos it have nightvision

  • gosh, what are you guys freakin about... actually, i was pretty scared the 1st time I put my sony fx1 on my car mounted with a suction cup. But, just put the mount on 1st with out the camera and try to pull that sucker off... you'll be damned if you can get it off your car... it works and the footage looks great!

  • god put he cat tail on!

  • do you have any record under the sea?

  • holy shit this guy put the cam outside of the car hopefully the suction cup did not move from the car.

  • Black Box. eh

  • 去年の夏頃はレギュラー1Lが118円だったんですね!

  • Хорошая картинка

  • would this camcorder take excellent HD video of sports, like basketball, baseball, football, etc. without the motion blur? What about if you pan from side to side to catch the action, will it have inter lacing problems? What camcorder would you recommend for capturing sports or any activity with a lot of motion?

  • Very enjoyable - unlike the shaky road-movies which tend to give people headaches.

Pity though the wind-noise... but I'm not complaining. Nice gear.

  • next time do not leave white balance on auto.

  • やばいね

  • Is the "wind-adapter" on the mic?

  • need for speed

  • kyoto?

  • id be scared as hell if i put my 2000$ camera on a car

  • @MIYANAGAAkira me three.

  • @MIYANAGAAkira

    it's on a bike i think!

  • @cooldroopyloopenschr That's the same thing i thought!!! I want to buy this camera so badly that that will be the last thing i can thing about, putting it on top of my car.

  • Yeah some people yust steels them and some are yust rich enough to buy another next day

  • @cooldroopyloopenschr fat geckos are the b

    est mounts ever

  • @cooldroopyloopenschr

i'd feel the same.. but i can say that there isn't any possible way to capture anything at night, in a decent quality..

unless u pay for it :P

  • Image quality is stunning

  • I have the same setup with a Fat Gecko. I Ordered the NEX VG10 today. Excited to get it. How do you like it? Check out my video of the Corvette.

  • very nice!

  • did you use steady cam feature? video almost looks like its on a dolly

  • @cali9fiftyone Well, I only used Delkin Fat Gecko camera mount. attach it on the top of my car, and put the rear of the camcorder body on car carrier bar. That's all.

The weight of the camcorder is very light in the combination with the lens "sony E16F2.8", and that reduces shaking.

  • @MIYANAGAAkira you mean it's not even OIS lens? wow.

  • @MIYANAGAAkira so how much did you pay, 2000? How much is it now? After researching DSLR's for the past 4 months, i'm just now finding these high end camcorders with lenses but lenses are too expensive, i don't want an expensive camcorder and then have to buy several or any expensive lenses on top of that!!

So can someone please bring me up to speed with the best high end camcorders under 2500 bucks. I don't want those overpriced Reds and c300 shit!
