A Letter To My Disease- Dedicated to all suffering with lupus

I love your poem. It covers so much of what I go through on a daily basis. I've been feeling rather down lately but your poem revived the fight in me. I live in a small town in the middle of know where so not to many people know what Lupus is. It gets very lonely not having anyone who understands so I've turned to Youtube to try and connect with other lupus patients. I've also started a "Living with Lupus" page on Facebook. Keep fighting Hun. You've got real talent!!!

Beautiful, the beauty in the raw honesty of this poem is so refreshing. I'm really struggling at the moment with my Lupus. The loneliness of it, not knowing anyone else with sometimes can get me down more than the illness itself. @ct270965 Your very welcome ..I Too have been having a alot of flares lately. however what i have learned and still is learning is that You have to face lupus like you face a relationship You have to compromise. I hope you feel better soon But i will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you so much.....you brought tears to my eyes. I was just diagnosed less than 2 months ago with having lupus. I've had the symptoms since I was 9 years old. I didn't go to see a rheumatologist until I was well into my 30's. It is an everyday fight. Today I'm having a so so day and enjoying all the minutes. I'm praying for you...you're a fighter and champion. Hopefully, we can help each other to bring awareness to this very prevelant disease. Have a blessed day!

I have SLE and your poem brought me to tears. It's warming to see someone who feels the same way as I do. I have had lupus for almost 8 years. I am working on project to raise money and I would love to tell you more about it?! hopefully we can all unite and spread the word about lupus, be there for those who suffer and just hope for a cure one day.
