I have Gothic 2 but every time I click on the icon to play it this "Error: loader couldnt intialize service" message pops up. I used to play this game all the time when i was younger and recently had a huge urge to play it again. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Would getting a new disk fix it? @f4nt0ma Well, maybe this depends on graphic drivers, I have n9600 too and i havent faced any problems yet... (and will not, cuz i am finishing g 4 right now) In this case it isnt about graphic card... and I think its about software. So i cant help u...

Maybe try lowering the the details, try installing lastest Nvidia Physx or somthing like that. And if this wouldnt help you, simply reinstall the game, even this can help. And some patches for gothic 2 may come handy. cheers :)

German voices are way better than Polish and English voices. Because Piranha Bytes is a German company and they first made the German voices which are more original and deep. If you have a chance, try the German version.

I am playing NOTR at the moment i am at chapter 4 i got also ice dragon only left to kill and i got 172 of STR 93 of DEX 120 of MANA and i am at level 41-Paladin (i played all other guilds to and i finish the game twice time as D.H and F.M

and i got 115% skill of one handed weapons(with +10 bouns from master sword and +10 from morgans ring)

i kill everything what was in may line of sight without using any kind of cheating

so it means it is possible to kill L.M in 2 chop :)

actualy yes your right, the ice dragon was immune to damage - its a bug that can effect the dragons somtimes, I tried kicking its ass normaly but when you cant hurt it at all, theres no point fighting it. So I killed it with marvin mode to continue my game

i never touched a dragon with any weapon and killed it, i just bought myself 4 summon demon scrolls and the demon had no problems killing the dragons ..Hope my tip helped cause its much more rewarding finishing the game without using any cheats..But yes i agree i found the game impossible to finish without marvin mode the first time i played it as the game has just too many tricks to figure out in the first try.But once you know how the game works its pretty easy to finish it without hax

no the dragons are no problem, the game is no problem, the problem is that this particular dragon was invinciable, dragons are easy to beat and even easier with str as high as mine. I used marvin mode to continue the game, to beat a bug, in all my other dragon vids I slay the dragons with great ease because they COULD be damaged

keeping them makes you be able to make the +15 STR potion twice in ch6 just make sure u got sulphur and another black pearl. Occasionally Elite orcs have dragonroots on them so make str potions of those too. I ended the game around 290+ str not sure about the exact value. Same story if u wanna go ranged (i prefer bows they shoot faster) u can find 22 goblin berries out there and even more by the merchants and occasionally on black goblins.I'm playing it again on ranged and one-shooting lizards:D

yeah it's good enough but not the best i'm afraid:) With the mercenary you can top your str at almost 300 in the end. It's really funny to see how the big bad final boss falls in 2 hits:D:D if you're curious how to do it: learn str to 90 progress to chapter 4 learn it to 100 wear the orc ring learn +20 then unwear it.Makes you have 120 base str.Make 12 str elixirs + of those plants from the merchants u'll stop around 200 eat thekla's stuff and apples and collect all the dragon eggs but KEEP THEM
