  • Why do you put Flying Scotsman with that poem?

  • Lame

  • What's so good about the late Robert L. Stevenson, anyway, can someone say?

    .

Or what good things does his Estate do?

The only way to perform this poem is on board a steam train.

If it's Ok I'll post it on our fledgling website which aims to encourage performance poetry.

  • What a wonderful poem, I feel at ease listening to this piece of art.

  • A favourite of my schooldays, thanks for posting.

  • I must agree, a magic idea. Well done. I too have been inspired by these word I wrote a piece of music and to set it to a train ride.

  • This is absolutely marvellous. The idea of narrating the poem alongside pictures of the train is even better. This is my favourite RLS poem & always has been and I am no child! Please consider posting another of his poems "The Lamplighter" please. Thanks for posting - forever a child at heart!

  • Thank you - I do not have "The Lamplighter" - but I will make sure to record it in the next batch of recordings.

    Thanks for the suggestion
