You can tell its a classical just by looking at the strings. They have nylon strings

his guitar is obviously tuned just that its a classical you can tell by the wider and fatter neck and the headstock's design and classicals have a deeper warmer tone

Sounds pretty good man! Keep it up. I do have some advice if you want it, and I'm not gonna mention the tuning of the guitar (oops, guess I just did). But I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now (since I was 12). I've found that if you cover the strings (to mute them) the ones you are not playing and just hit all the strings, it will give you a good rhythm sound. Stevie Ray Vaughan used that technique a lot. Also, you can hold the plectrum more stable and strum harder, for better tone.
