Brilliant!!. Those were the days. BR didn't keep them in service long enough. Some built in 1960 then withdrwan before they had really been run in.
Can't complain about the Class 55's replacing the Streaks tho. 50 years on and still running.

D'oh! Mallard wasn't preserved at the National Railway Museum, but the British Transport museum at Clapham! didn't come to York until 1974!
