@Jevezy - well all of life this side of heaven is temporary. so if you remind yourself each day just for a moment of the absolute certainty that 100% of people who are born will eventually die then you'll value your time with them and your own life more and even if they just move out of your life all you ever had was a temporal amount of time from the beginning of any relationship to it's enyanyway, so if your smart you'll make the best of every moment and not sweat the small stuff.

Yes this world is full of nasty, evil people and bad things happen to everyone, even an eternal optimist like you is not exempt. Finally, yes someone is always saying goodbye, I work in the office of undertaker, and believe me, someone is always saying goodbye.
@Jevezy unfortunately your belief that the existence of any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unkowable has left you with out a strategy to nevigate through the ups and downs of this life. death is not a mystery to those who have listen and learned and believed what God has said about it. also if you ask yourself where did you come from and where are you going and answere is nowhere to either question then what is the logic in achieving anything in this life?there has to be more.
