  • thanks for putting this up

  • respect to the man that had a say so for peace equality and justice for all......

  • I love MLK but he is full of shit! I love his message, but he is actually racist.

Discount another and you discount yourself.

To hate another is to hate yourself.

    :)

    :P

  • @Joxman2k MLK didn't hate anyone. If you find hate in his message then you're completely missing the point and should listen to his sermon on "Loving your Enemies". He made plain in that hate is an evil tool of the devil and not something a Christian should have in their heart. Racist??? I look at the pictures of his marches and demonstration and see very diverse crowds. Racist??? Not sure where you got that one from???

  • @LeBuick

I'm Atheist. But the words you are responding to I said because, there would be no MLK if those things did not exist.

MLK wouldn't exist without racism. He was the solution. In a perfect world MLK wouldn't need to exist.

...sorry if what I was typing didn't actually mean what I was thinking.

    :)

    :P

  • @PedoRasul571 So what exactly is your point?

  • I am an Atheist, but Dr Martin Luther King ...a simple Baptist Minister is one of my greatest role models, and dare I say Hero.

If Americans chose not to believe in the love that Dr. King has preached, then America deserves being lost.

I am Atheist, but trust in love of all peoples that Dr King taught.

    :)

    :P

  • January 3, 2012 American Revolution II begins in the USA in IOWA

  • They can only oppose peace for so long. The conscious minds of the people are evolving faster than ever before. The truth will be known and the corrupt leaders shall be punished at the highest extent of the law so i say let the people be free once again and humanity will flourish into a beautiful blossom, while the evil minds that have dictated us for so long shall perish for their own hellish ways.

  • to oppose the ideas of martin luther king is to oppose the destiny of mankind. We are destined for peace. we are destined for unity. As long as we have emotions, peace will only be a destiny that will be ultimately achieved. it will just come through the consciousness of humans and through the feelings of love. God is real he's in all of us. We have the ability to change the world into a place that is heaven or we can choose to make it hell. Love all. Led All. Fear None.

  • @loveallleadall420: Who oppose the destiny of Marin Luther King, the people who killed him. People who don't believe in peace in America or anywhere else in the world. Peace is a threat to the criminal elite, the CIA & Drug traffickers & Puppet masters, and arms dealers. Criminal elite who plant Land minds on the land of Africa to prevent people planting food to feed them selves, and turn up as Angles of light with tinned cat and dog food to feed Black people with food not fit for humanbeings.

  • Does anyone understand the meaning of this speech? Looking at the below comments, I think not.

It is unfortunate that we fail to realize how similar we are.

Why must we classify and label? It only divides...

  • impromptu speech

  • I HAVE A DREAM WAWAAAAAAAWWAA ONW DAAAAAAAAE AWWAAAAAAWA DPPPPPPPPPWWWWWWWWWWWWWON CI S WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I HAVE A DREAM

  • I'm Canadian. America is trying to fulfill that promise. sometimes the Negro don't care what you say MLK, and they use their poorness to promote poor behavior, and blame the white man.

These are not your words, but that is the character of the black man.

    ...tell me I'm WRONG!

  • @Joxman2k why would you stereo type the black man ? wouldn't you agree that if you stereo type a human being you would only be looking at yourself in the mirror ?

  • @lexbonell

you are absolutely right! the thing is that MLK talked about humanity, not colour. He spoke of human rights not the quality of skin. :) I care for everyone who exists on the planet. Maybe I'm wrong to care for others, but I will do it just the same :)

    :P

  • Comment removed

  • @lexbonell

After re-reading the comment flow. I still agree with your comment, but I think compassionate, caring, leader is still not within the American lexicon for a black person. To be honest I believe that the stereotype is still about an ignorant, poor person who hates Whitey! not to mention that they commit most crimes and have babies for no reason. ... Aside from the Illegal Mexicans.

....can you imagine that someone could call you an illegal person? What does that mean?

    :)

    :P

  • @Joxman2k what is an idiot ?

  • @Joxman2k Who is Whitey? And why should anyone hate "Whitey". I thought we're all Americans? No?

  • @Dactuck

...actually we are all Global Citizens.

Whitey was what black people called white people ... it's just a label, like the word Nigger.

Labels are meant to define, but they just divide.

    :)

    :P

  • @Joxman2k Agreed!

  • @Dactuck

    :)

    :P

  • who had the courage of a million men ? who paid the price of death for peace and love ? is life stronger than death ? a life worth dieing for will always be remembered . we miss you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. we love you .in the end your life was stronger than your death and the seed that you planted will always grow and never perish. A lonely battle fought by a brave soldier sent from the heavens to expose the evils of the war machine

  • @lexbonell

Who had the courage of a million men? is not important. The importance is that one person, can overcome their own fear, that is most important.

It just takes one person to say, enough!

    :)

    :P

  • @Joxman2k how can you face fear without courage?

  • @lexbonell

MLK is a person who I believe. you speak of death. Stop it! Dr Martin Luther King exists in my mind. Don't give up Lexbonell. Enjoy our truth. :) I believe in him.

Are you a religious warrior? I mean Christian in your faith?

  • @Joxman2k what is death isn't death a part of life ? did you not understand that he planted a seed that will never die ? who is giving up ? did you know that I am one of his seeds ? why would my name be Alexander if a wasn't a warrior ?

  • this guy was probably one of the two or three most important citizens in our country's history

  • @colacitrusmtn True story.

  • I am speechless....

I can only say that the vison & the love can only creates this driving force...

  • why does this under a million views this should have well over 500M

  • Our country need a man with his visions leading this country!

  • I was searching for a video for my students on "courage" and saw this one. It was awesome. I loved it and I hope my students will as well Thank you for your courage in creating it.

  • what a great man. a man of god who went against the status quo and lived out his convictions in the face of hate, violence and death. let all that he did be proof that god can use anyone with an open heart to do great things and leave a lasting impression one the hearts of millions. even a white man from south carolina who is too young to even know what the world was like when he was alive. dr king was and is truly an inspiration to a heart that seeks peace & love. thank you dr king

  • @bigdirtydutch If you really mean what you say,it is really good to hear or read this kind of comment thank you.

  • I hope my greatgrandchildren watch and read this one day and know that their great grandfather was on the right side of history. The side of good. The side of Love. I will, and have always been, an extemist for Love! Won't you join me?

  • im Peruvian (latino) to me MLK is the greatest speaker who has ived on earth..next to Jesus of course

  • public plea for help! widowed father ,not native to vermont ,finds apathy and discrimination, civil rights violations but ,,,no forum,,, i need lawyer who not afraid of reprisal

  • Incredible...I got chills

  • great man that change our lives, thanks forever.

  • I love the video Thank you for posting it! It's needed Happy Birthday to a great man Martin Luther King! Even though he's gone he's left such a great impression on me & others.1/15/11

  • JAH SAY WHAT ABOUT THE ASIAN MAN FOR HE KNOW KUNG FOO THE ART WHICH IS SOUL FORCE MANIFEST. GOD BLESS JAH BLESS THAT WE CAN SHARE SUCH 'CONTROVERSIAL' EXPRESSION OF THOUGHT NOTHING COULD BE MORE RELEVANT TO OUR PRESENT STATE OF AFFAIRS

  • since Pres. Obama is so outraged over "faux" homophobia in [the] Black community & Black churches, why does he so ardently seek and assume their electoral support on every opportunity ? Since it outrages him so, perhaps in order to allow him to maintain his character & integrity, the "Black Community" should offer it's objectionable, homophobic support to a more reasonable and balanced candidate come 2012- just a very short time from now ! Is there any other group he snubs more than Blacks ??

  • powerful to this day.

  • Let freedom ring!

  • This is what I call a fair and balanced point of view. King is my hero!!

  • A truly inspirational leader of our times. RIP Martin

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute!!!

  • I submit that an individual who breaks a law that his conscience tells him is unjust, and willingly accepts the penalty by staying in jail, to arouse the conscience of the community over it's injustice, is in reality expressing the very highest respect for the law. - MLK Jr.

  • MLK is my hero. A real man of courage and wisdom. He pointed out inalienable rights for ALL, based on our founding document. He was allowed to speak because of our governing document and we were allowed to hear his great messages. No doubt racial justice was a worthy quest. However, many today confuse that with "social justice", a new term that is rooted in Marxism. The irony is this term will in time ensave us ALL. Entitlements remove dignity by creating dependency, a form of oppression.

  • we are all created equal!

  • To be in opposition to Dr. King's ideas is to be in opposition of America.

  • To be in opposition to Dr. Kings ideas is to be in opposition of an idealized America that never actually existed. While Dr, King himself stood in opposition to the reality of what America actually was, and sadly, still is.

  • @djpozz Clearly that is not the case.

Most Americans would rather have a vague idea about his "I have a dream" speech, and fail to understand how his commitment to non-violence devceloped, the context of his opposition to the Vietnam War and the militarisation of American society, his emphatic belief that until the appalling double standard in the "justice" system and the awful economic injustices were at least addressed, America would never move forward.

He and RFK died, and the US never did

  • @djpozz I'm not against America, but against patriotism in general. And still I agree with Dr King.

  • @djpozz actually... The United States OPPOSED Dr. King. I wish you were right, but he spoke out against this country.

  • Great speech which I remember from 1968.

I went to Washington to see the King speech memorial. A great man.

    Yes we are equal.

    Ruud Mulder

  • the secret is out. whites [pinks] in the u.s. have lost their freedom. england has out smarted you again. by christmas of next year you will see what my words mean. secrect societies are color blind. good luck you doomed infidel. etc. etc.

  • This is Great! I wish I had this to show this at our church for Black History Month!

  • I love the images of "modern" modern children, it shows the continuation and slight achievement of King's dream. I recently found out that one of my friend's grandparents entered into a biracial marriage and it killed me to find out he never looked into their story. I wish our schools would preach this more but a couple like that in a time like that must have one very inspirational story plagued with racism and injustive attacking the foundations of two people that just loved each other.

  • Have you seen here on Youtube?

WAR FOR YOUR SOUL PT 1 OF 2

  • This Video just goes to Prove.. the Govt. musta Lied.. they Con.tradicted themselves..in.ternally..... it's 2009.+.

  • Humanity is headed for the worst tourture yet the patriot act undermines basic rights in the constitution, the genociding through spread of virus, the implantation of chips slavery. WAKE UP Its here in america fema concentration camps. dumbing us down and doping us up

  • I was there then,23 years old and saw the tears in his eyes toward the end of his

speech, because I was right in front of him.....10 feet. When he said"I may not get there with you"I began to cry and I am White. He was exhausted and others had to help him up.Martin Luther King Jr.....there

is no one around like him any longer.

  • If you were truly there, consider yourself a lucky man. I am too young to have experienced this man live, but his influence , his strength, is alive inside of me. Very much alive!! I have often wondered if I would have possessed the strength to march beside him and restrain from retaliating when assaulted and verbally abused. I think not. Were he alive today, I believe he`d be somewhat pleased about the WORLD`S progress, yet clearly understand that we still have a long way to go. RIP MLK.

  • I watched it on TV and wished I could have been there. I could see he knew he wouldn't make it to the promised land, and it broke my heart to see him slain, as I saw Bobby and John slain...there are many who carry his memory and do all that they do for the honor he showed America and the world. He will never be forgotten...

  • White people's destiny is in the suburbs. Valient effort but he failed, Malcolm failed, black people failed, and this government and white people failed us!

  • @1polymath You still don't get the message do you.

  • Are you crazy. No one in this country believe in the Ideal's of Dr. King. We are so immoral we refuse to give every citizen (IN THE RICHEST COUNTRY) Universal Healthcare!

  • I've heard nearly every one of Dr. Martin Luther King's speeches and I've never once heard him arguing for universal healthcare. I do believe in the ideals of Dr. King's vision and have experienced some of it. Thanks.

  • @sidneyke Do you really think a personality like that would oppose universal healthcare? The point is there are a lot of thing that poor people do not have access to due to the various isms - classism, sexism, racism, etc

  • 1polymath, I guess it would depend how far he'd believe the roll of government extended. I caught a PBS show from 1957 yesterday, with Dr. King, the host and a federal judge all talking about the roll of government in the struggle for civil rights. MLK said the government could do only so much, but the people had to be "aggressive" in procuring their freedom themselves. He said there would be hardship, even violence, which the people had to endure, doing their part to change the social climate.

  • ...everyday...not just once a year...we should inspire to keep the dream alive...by the actions we perform...and by the ones still set for us to overcome....always ....amanda

  • If you never noticed at the end of that speach, he colapsed into his friends. No man would do that unless he was a spirit filled man. I dont even think he made that speach that night, i believe the holy spirit spoke threw him.

  • He let God have access by all means necessary. Now that's what's up as they say.

  • Great Man!

  • Here's to you Martin and Malcolm

Rest forever here in our hearts

The last and final moment is yours

    Your agony is our triumph

  • I'm absolutely impressed with this speech everytime I watch this. Thanks for posting. Be Blessed!

  • Somewhere down the line in my lifetime I lost focused. I now have vision.

  • Who are use to judge only god can judge and give blessing to his favor. Obama is martin luther king dream and change that my children will see.

  • IF MLK were alive, would he support Barack? Would he support Reverend Wright? Would he support Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente? Would he work outside the framework of the Democrats and Republicans? Until we have listened to the full versions of all of his speeches and read his books and his various biographies, we can't really say we know or understand Dr. King. He is certainly broader and deeper than the I Have A Dream Icon that pop culture and the mainstream media have portayed him.

  • LiSTEN TO THiS SPEECH TODAY HAS MADE MY REALiZE WE HAVE MADE A BiG CHANGE , AND I REFER TO THiS SPEECH AFTER OBAMA HAS BEEN ELECTED AND I KNOW MARTIN LUTHER KiNG iS LOOKiNG DOWN ON US SMiLEiNG ii WiSH HE COULD BE HERE TO SHARE THiS MOMENT WiTH US BECAUSE iF iT WASNT FOR HiM ii DONT THiNK OBAMA WOULD HAVE BEEN PRESiDENT AND ii THANK GOD FOR THiS MOMENT .....THiS iS HiSTORY AND iT IS NOT ABOUT THE SKiN COLOR WE HAVE SOMEONE iN THE HOUSE WHO WiLL MAKE A CHANGE FOR AMERiCA SOMEOBE WHO REALLY CARES

  • He may have smiled for about ten seconds.... for seeing a black man become president....

Then he would look at our actions in Iraq Pakistan and Iran and cry.

Quit comparing Obama to one of the most intelligent, moving and greatest men who ever lived.

Martin would have never been a corporate puppet.

  • @halfaddict, such a good comment!

  • ive never seen a whites only sigh ,

  • Controlling my ability to see the truth in some things I can do, but where does my anger stem from? Can anyone help me?

Please give me your input. I don't need it suger coated, I need it direct and to the point. I can accept it if its the truth, I can't accept it if its not direct.

    Thanks in advance.

  • well i heard maya angelo says that its good to be angry but not bitter see the anger that you hold speak it for rightenous so be angry but be angry in agood way talk it let people know if there is injustice speak on it let it be known so be angry but be angry in a good way martin was angry but he channeled that angry and made a movement so i say be angry and put that anger to good use let me know how this reach you.

  • Thank you, you helped me pinpoint my anger. Here's what I got from your explanation...

We sense and realize things that are unjust, and we know its not right, because we don't want it done to us, but we fail to see that we use anger in the wrong way. We listen to those who taught us, and think lashing back will make it right, but it only breeds more anger. I see this clearly in myself. I have to learn to bring the truth to others in a loving way and not a lashing back so we all can learn. TY

  • I can only say what I see. I can't be intimidated by any race, religion, or belief, I see enough for myself. You are either for truth of all men, or advantage for yourself. And there is no place in a world of so many people for anyone who is greedy and demands bowing down to. We are all in search of the same things, that is equality and truth. All other things are a derailment or falsehood of illusions that steer us from those truths.

    Peace to all men

It would be a blessing if we were blind

  • now you speak double talk think how a child is raised correct all they know is what they are taught so yes we have been giving a bad check all that we speak is a reflection of what we have seen and what we were taught now where did we get our teaching from? so yes we have been giving a bad check we were promised equality did we get it no!we were promised justice did we get it no!were a person could kill in and not be convicted yes we were giving a bad check! ALL HE WANTED WAS EQUALITY THAT WAS P

  • Thanks for taking the time to help me. We must remember, nothing is personal, we make mistakes simply because we just don't see things clearly. I'm guilty of that a lot, but I never stop trying, and if I attack anyone out of my anger, I'm very sorry. I just want whats best for all of us so we can live peacefully and free. Really Free

Democracy will be exploited if we don't do our part and keep watch over those we elect.

But we must rely on Truth First! And Teach as we discover our truths.

  • Here was a great orator ... yet, he was more.

Here was a great thinker ... yet, he was more.

Here was a great leader ... yet, he was more.

Here was a great American ... yet, he was more.

Here was a great Christian ... yet, he was more.

Here was a great Human ... yet, he was more.

Here was a man ... and he stood for all the rest.

    May his dream come true.

  • ClubWedd, you are dumb. Nothing else needs to be said.

  • Who are you referring to, if you are calling Obama supporters "dumb ass niggers" I would like to inform you that millions of white people like my husband and many of my friends support Obama, and by the way you are the dumb ass, since he could never have won with only African American voters who are only 13 percent of the population

  • It's people like you that make me proud to be an American! NOT! Pssst... your ignorance is showing!

  • Only if he tore out the pages of jealousy, the pages about hate, the pages about murdering men for land, the pages about pride, the pages about racism, the pages about ignorance, and the pages about belittleing. Because those are the pages I have already torn out of my bible.

    Stop the hate!

    Stop the racism!

    Stop the murdering!

Stop all the things that destroy men and make them bitter while they live.

    Stop the confusion.

We are coming out of insanity. Don't you see it?

    Peace all

  • NO!

  • @Descryminds

He did with his eloquent words. Simple

  • you r my hero

  • @Descryminds Well, the bible hates homosexuals. That's hate. I'm christian but don't believe in hating anyone that doesn't hurt men

  • @SiCGaming123 The Bible doesn't hate homosexual....... people who read things out of its original context and twist the bible hate homosexuals. Don't confuse what the Bible says with what someone told you it said. Or maybe what you read without the context of the writer, the historical context, and the people its written to. The Bible actually displays a message of love for homosexual and freedom from homosexuality.

  • Nature does not hate Homosexuality. Ask your priest who wants to have sex with you.!

    Give your head a shake!

    God loves.

If you are gay why would god hate you?

err love in my mind means "find somebody to love" by Queen!

    find me somebody to love!

    please?!?

  • @Descryminds please dont tell me you tore pages from your bible

  • beautiful--thanks from deep within me! we all--humans, not specific races--need to rearm ourselves with civility and love and combat todays more ssubtle but equally real and painful racism. VOTE OBAMA!

  • A soul is a soul is a soul, not a body.

We are all god's children, not black, not white, not yellow, not brown, we are all ONE.

This is what Dr. King believed and taught.

  • yes! And not preborn, born, infant, toddler, adolescent, or adult. We ARE ALL ONE.

It's about time we stand up for ALL human rights. We've seen and tolerated enough prejudice and human rights violations.

  • thats right.. u summed it all up.. long live the fight for freedom

  • awesome

  • So many bring up this point to denounce King. Every man has his weakness. Kings' was women. I mean if you were famous and popular and women were drawn to you, you would fall into the same trap. By the way those reports were falsified. King only slept with Black admirers. Anyway, his faults do not diminish his message of unity and integration. Yes, he committed adultery. But so did King David, and we quote him too.

  • He is not fighting for a race. He is fighting for love and justice and what is right. He is fighting for love no matter what the cost. He believed so strongly in justice and love and God that he gave it all including his life. He is a great inspiration to us all if you open your mind and your heart. A true hero, a blessed soul.

  • You're absolutely right. So why is the struggle continuing? There are obviously some hypocrites in our society. There are those who are really racist and predujiced and do not want the society to live together. These entities are holding society back!!!. We MUST get beyond "SKIN COLOR", or we will PERISH!!!!

  • There are people who see other people as 'ugandas', 'americans', 'whites, 'blacks' or 'gays'. When we refuse to see these products of indoctrination and see the human in us and others we such atrocities as genocides or wars cannot be justified.

  • Last time I looked around 5 yrs ago we had. Its only now that the evil has come back ! RAP MUSIC AND ALL. LITTLE CHILDREN WOULD NOT KNOW OF COLOR BUT NOW THEY ARE LISTENING TO IT OVER IN THE NASTY SONGS PAERENTS PLAY AND LIVE OUT THE HATE THROUGH DRUGS ALL OVER GEORGIA . I HAD 13 and 14 yr old black kids tell me that POT was good and ok.I am white and lectured too them ! WAKE UP ! STOP THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION. THE wars in the streets are coming against us all .Strawberry Coacain is the newest.

  • I won't remove this comment, but I will simply state that I definitely do not agree with it at all, and I find certain context in it to be racist.

  • @Stoudman RESPECT FOR ALL THOUGHTS IS THE PARAMOUNT TO THE STRENGTHENING OF SOUL FORCE LET THEM COME WITH LIES FOR TRUTH REMAINS FOREVER SELF EVIDENT TO THOSE WHO SEEK TO BETTER THE WORLD AS A WHOLE AND SEE PAST THE VESSEL OF THE BODY STRAIGHT TO THE SOUL

  • I recommend that you read 'King Leopold's Ghost' by Adam Hochschild. 'In the 1880s, as the European powers were carving up Africa, King Leopold II of Belgium seized for himself the vast and mostly unexplored territory surrounding the Congo River. Carrying out a genocidal plundering of the Congo, he looted its rubber, brutalized its people, and ultimately slashed its population by ten million--all the while shrewdly cultivating his reputation as a great humanitarian.'

  • Thanks

  • @corey7029 You see the problem, you dont see the source... The source of their problem is the same of our problem, the same of all the worlds problem. We still struggle in our rudimentary economic system, we still struggle for power, for ego... and white and black are all alike! And... Martin L. King was figthing for so much more then Racism... racism is just one of the instruments used to separate us as human race....

  • @corey7029 NICE TROLL 3 YEARS AND COUNTING IF YOU WISH TO STRENGTHEN SOMETHING YOU MUST FIRST KNOW ITS WEAKNESS SPIT IGNORANCE AND ENLIGHTEN MANY WHO WERE UNAWARE OF SUCH BIGOTRY AND IGNORANCE OF HUMANKIND'S RELATION AND DESTINY

    ROCKEMSOCKEM ROBOTS OR SOME SHIT

  • @corey7029 with enger you dont change life, but with respect and peace you live free.

  • This is a very good video and narrated with a three way star hit, I learned that Dr MLK Jr speach was spoken from deep deep deep within his heart and the meaning of his power, love and freedom was felt by me more now then when I heard it when it was happening in the 60s..........Thanks from my people if you are white and very well done if you are my brother or sister.

  • Great editing and great message.

  • Great stuff Stoud

  • Thank you for posting. Wonderfully done!

  • Nice video. I hope that everyone sees that King was more than just a dreamer. The most important part is about the check

  • Great vid Stoud.

  • Thanks, guys. I've been wanting to make a tribute video to Martin Luther King Jr. for a while now, because he's my hero. Finally got it done. I'm glad that you guys liked it. :)

  • Very interesting! Could you please let me know HOW did you download/save two videos from Youtube in order to put your tribute together?

And what program had you been using? I'd like to put my piece together also and to do a presentation in my class - something along the lines of PowerPoint with sound - but not quite sure how to save media data off the Youtube

  • Good job Stoud.

  • This is awesome man. Really well done. I learnt quite alot from it.

  • Wow, nice job I'm going to show this at school.

  • Dude this was beautifully done I appreciate you doing this.
