  • Whats with the amber light on your dash? Was your car running ok towards the end?

  • @dickj85

    Hi Richard

Its the oil pressure light set at 35 psi. Towards the end of a race, the oil is very hot and thin so pressure drops to 35 causing it to "flicker". We could lower the setting but its reassuring to see it a reminder to check the pressure gauge occasionally.

We still have a missfire which you can hear as we came out of Redgate. It could be fuel starvation. Problem is that these things only show up on the track so you can never be sure till you go back out.

  • @roysrover Ok, just wondered why you did not come past me as your car looked much faster than mine.

I was driving the yellow civic number 67, your car looks a handful out of corners plenty of understeer!!

Are you at cadwell? have never been there before, or had drivin donington before this race

  • @dickj85 Same here, Donington was new to me as is the car - only the second time I've driven it - in fact still having to wear my novice cross for one more race. I was in the Gti last year in Tin Tops but now share drive the turbo. I'm told front wheel drive Turbo's always have an understeer problem as they try to put the power down.

Will be at Cadwell and hope it runs better.
