  • NOT WHILE I`M ALIVE NOT WHILE I`M ALIVE

  • Thanks for putting this together. It's thoughtfully edited and the interviews are in harmony throughout.

  • he is playing acoustic guitar when patti does "people have the power"

  • Easter is the most incredible album I've evr heard. Nigger!

  • Rock and Roll Star written in response to Sid Vicious cutting her brother in the face with a bottle.

  • I meant recorded, song was written by the Byrds.

  • Funny story about her not being able to play guitar. She was hardly ever plugged in. One show there was a scathing review of her guitar playing the next day, it was one of those times her guitar WASN'T plugged in

  • I love her

I am so gay for her

Fred and Patti should have had more time!!

  • Fred and Patti should have worked more together.

  • thank you so much for this!! she is going to be in santa monica, ca free concert on the pier august 16th!

  • What and amazing woman, an amazing person.

  • Thanks for this clip... Patti Rules

  • "Patti Smith is God!" That's what I was screaming the first time I saw her at CBGBs as I climbed on the bar. Her poetry has literally changed my life, at least the way I think about things. The line "Deep in the heart is a lever, deep in the heart is a switch" from Radio Ethiopia, activated something in me and I learned how to think like an artist.

  • Saw her at CBGB's movie theatre old Anderson and then up in West Hartford in a small club bar. Was anyone else there? I remember so I wasn't really there right? FU morons
