HOW DID THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME "SMITH" BEFORE THEY GOT MARRIAGED?? WOULDNT THAT MEAN LEGALLY THEIR BOTH BROTHER AND SISTERS?? NOT A MARRIED ROCK N ROLL COUPLE :)
Funny story about her not being able to play guitar. She was hardly ever plugged in. One show there was a scathing review of her guitar playing the next day, it was one of those times her guitar WASN'T plugged in
"Patti Smith is God!" That's what I was screaming the first time I saw her at CBGBs as I climbed on the bar. Her poetry has literally changed my life, at least the way I think about things. The line "Deep in the heart is a lever, deep in the heart is a switch" from Radio Ethiopia, activated something in me and I learned how to think like an artist.
Saw her at CBGB's movie theatre old Anderson and then up in West Hartford in a small club bar. Was anyone else there? I remember so I wasn't really there right? FU morons
