Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig makes a good light intro into practical work... and believe it or not LOTS of free information exists online, just google what you are looking for. Keywords maybe "ceremonial magick" "high magic" "thelema" "golden dawn" "oto" etc. If you want to do practical work, try learning the Lower Ritual of the Pentagram and do it for a few months.

Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig makes a good light intro into practical work... and believe it or not LOTS of free information exists online, just google what you are looking for. Keywords maybe "ceremonial magick" "high magic" "thelema" "golden dawn" "oto" etc. If you want to do practical work, try learning the Lower Ritual of the Pentagram and do it for a few months.

I would say the pentagram is a symbol used in western traditions of magic but I wouldn't call an entire system "pentagram magic" as its only a core area. The pentagram represents five elements- fire, air, earth, water and spirit (spirit is a collection of all elements) which is represented in a five point star. The number 5 represents strength and motion. This symbol is used in workings to banish or invoke the elements.

Their are better examples of true magic than crowley. He had no moral conscience. Most of his friends and lovers went mad. or committed suicide. He did have a positive effect. in that he was a great lesson. in that if you have no integrity and practice magic. Dire consequeces await you. Some say that Crowley was the only one at the time to incarnate and use the Enochian Keys (without regard to morality) and open the locked doors to usher in the age of Aquarius, which he saw as the Age of Osirius (or Horus) and bring the end to the age of Pisces. In doing so, he brought about the first WWI and WWII (basically turning the Piscean Age against itself and bringing about its destruction) Jack Parsons also participated. This was just something I read. I'm no fan of Crowley.

Well that sounded way to harsh... yes i do see some understanding, however not to criticize, most people are won over by presentation rather than actual information within the context of the video. It looks as though the art has over shadowed the science as I see so often. Art typically expresses wisdom, not necessarily understanding.
