Ironically NOM is a Southern Poverty Law Center certified Hate Group. They might fool the retarded rednecks of the world but they don't fool me. Take your anti-gay bullshit and fuck yourself.
Will you bigots stop blabbing about how this video is so offensive and actually listen? They make several good points. Why don't you respond to their point instead of attacking them for the way they're presenting their message?
I've been reading the comments here and they're dispicable. SSM supporters are still doing little more than repeating the perverted hate messages demonstrated in the video. Then the claims that their marriage doesn't effect ours. That's a damn lie. Recent history in Europe and even the United States show that as soon as these bills pass, the activists start attacking Christian organizations, infiltrating schools and exhausting every resource to shove their lifestyle down our throats. Liars!
So KarateCowboy05, read Dr. Collins' response to a letter from someone seeking clarification on his "quotes" that were taken out of context. Dr. Collins SUPPORTS a genetic basis for homosexuality, he admits other factors might also be at play but this does NOT mean they are alterable, and he admits that a specific gene MIGHT STILL BE FOUND. So, stop quote mining and actually educate yourself. Though, if it is genetic or a choice is irrelevant with regards to human rights.
@sergio500chalyan ... what you are forgetting, Justin, is that are a great majority of older people that support the demise of the American christian Taliban also. Seeing less of them is our hope also. oth sides have their idiots. Ours just embarrass us more.
@byroninwahroonga ....Brad Manning is doing very well in the new prison setting in Kansas, thank you. He is being treated well and has much less security than out East. His treatment is much more humane and it was a joy to meet with his supporters before I left for Brazil. Thank you for your concern! Dakotahgeo, M.Div. Pastor/Chaplain.
All kidding aside, I am overjoyed to see this video. I am a retired ex-Baptist minister/Chaplain and I think this is the funniest, most profound, most needed video in the world. I hope everyone, EVERYONE will see it and double their giving to FCKH8!Kudos and blessings to you all!
If you want to know something DISTURBING then I'll tell you this. Go check the AGE OF CONSENT LAWS in your state. I know that in mine if they are straight then it is 17. But if they are gay it's 13. So if a male pedophile wants to rape a 13yo boy then he can say it was consensual. So why don't you focus on that and leave gay marriage alone.
@snowboardergirl16 they have made it so that now it says the legal age of consent is thirteen for gays and straights in all states so long as your partner is the same age as you if your 14 15 16 17 they cannot be more than 48 months older than you iven if its just by a day
First, I'm straight. Second, I see nothing wrong with their video. Third, I'm offended by narrow minded bigots who think they can shove their believes and "values" onto other people. Two people in love isn't something that is offensive and harms nothing. A shame you can't find something constructive to do with your time instead of trying to deny a group of people their rights.
@PrincessJasmineL maybe the orphans parents died... not all orphans are abandoned, you should be ashamed of you self for using orphans as a political tool.
The video's better without the ridiculous censors. For a country who's first amendment discusses freedom of speech, we really like to do anything in our power to shut people up. And like the video said, there's only one religion and the bible is a great storybook to base our laws on. "They say children are the future, and yet our opinions mean little." My gods, next thing you know they'll be trying to ban gay eating, gay drinking, and gay breathing. 'Cuz everything is different when you're gay.
Though I'm not much of a fan of these videos, you idiots do realize that this whole FCKH8 campaign is designed to show JUST how ridiculous and asinine your H8ers are.
I might add that her amendment was designed to shine light on Republican hypocrisy. She herself fully supported the rights of gay and lesbian couples to marry. Oh, and it comes back to my mind now: her name is Senator Goodwin. Her words: "I think what that vote proved, and those two amendments proved, is that it isn't basically an issue of how sacred marriage is. I think it's an issue of discrimination. …" Aw snap.
You know, NOM, question for you. When this marriage discrimination amendment was discussed, I remember very clearly one senator asking her fellow colleagues if they would vote for her amendment: a marriage = one man + one women BUT no divorce allowed. One marriage. One shot at it, and that's it. Needless to say, NO SENATOR voted for it (herself excluded, of course). If marriage is SOOOO important it needs protection, then WHY were these senators not ok with banning divorce? Very telling move.
@Skulander1 It is very telling. It tells us they're not OK with banning divorce completely because sometimes people commit adultery or become abusive. Christ himself did not endorse such all or nothing thinking.
@KarateCowboy05 In the case of one member of the couple being abusive, you can always split up and not live together. You don't have to actually LIVE with that same person your whole life. You only get one chance at a marriage. Funny how that wasn't ok with them, lol. "Protecting" marriage is in fact "protecting" their right to hate and discriminate.
Because at the end of the day, the answer is simple: don't want a gay marriage? Then don't get one. My gay marriage doesn't hurt yours. Live and let live, and stop hating.
@KarateCowboy05 Oh I don't care what YOU think of my gay marriage. I don't need the approval of every single member of society. The loving approval of my family suffices for me, thank you very much. And I must remind you that you STILL must show why gay marriage should be banned. Should we ban interracial marriages because some still don't agree with it? Civil rights are not put up to popular vote.
@Skulander1 Yeah, you're not seeking approval. Which is why you're here trying to get people to affirm your perversity. If what happens between a man&woman can happen between 2 guys, then male and female are interchangeable. If that's the case then u can just as easily love a woman, making you not gay to begin with. Your statements are self-defeating. Point to one right the law gives me that it does not give you
@KarateCowboy05 Oh please don't think anti-gays are soooo important I need their approval. Nope. I don't. All I need is for the law to recognize my civil rights. Which it will do shortly, mwhaha!
@KarateCowboy05 How is my gay marriage going to affect yours? Your life? It won't: you havn't made half of the beginning of a case yet. You don't like gay marriage because of your anti-gay views. But unless you show me why gay marriage is a bad thing, why loving same-sex couples shouldn't marry, it's discrimination to ban us from enjoying the same rights as straight couples. And my private life does indeed remain a private matter, just like yours.
And speaking of morality, I'd be more concerned about what pedophile priests do to young boys than what 2 men or 2 women do in their bedroom. My gay marriage doesn't affect yours so unless you can make a point about why gay marriage should be banned, you have no business telling others what is immoral and what is not. I was born gay. Where you born hateful?
@Skulander1 The priests were disproportionately homosexual, to the point where the majority of perps. were sodomites. The problem is not so much a clergy problem as a sodomite problem. When they do, unstraight males molest far more victims than straight ones, testifying to the intrinsic perversity of sodomy
@KarateCowboy05 And no, I really don't think priests were gay, lol! That's another misconception. Pedophilia has nothing to do with homosexuality. Gay people are attracted to people of their own sex. Not to children. Plenty of straight men are attracted to kids though, and molest them. Instead of regulating the private lives of others the church should look into its flawed morality.
FUCK RepubliKKKans, Conservatives and their unHoly alliance with Religious freaks. Thank Goodness those of us under 30 such as myself will be in power soon, and these old fucks not allowing my right to marry who I choose,,, will be dead. PROUD YOUNG LIBERAL. The two boys kissing at the end was so cute also! I hope right wingers will now boycott facebook - would be nice seeing less of their trash wherever I go on there.
And you know, anti-gay and anti-marriage equality folks, if you were REALLY honest in your beliefs you'd ban wedding chapels in Las Vegas and you'd ban divorces. Oh sure, NOM "claims" to be a-okay with the no-fault divorce. But I wonder if Maggie would be happy either still stuck with her former husband or not being able to have remarried. Either way, anti-equality folks, you're not going to win this war.
Ahhhhh, I see the haters have logged on this video to comment. Great video, BTW. Minnesota has decided to wage a war on stable, loving gay couples and you can be sure LGBT citizens will be fighting left and right. Sure, this is an in-your-face sort of rhetoric but it's high time we stop playing Mr. and Mrs. Nice with anti-gay people and tell things how they are. Hate is hate. No matter in what form.
@KarateCowboy05 For sure. But my sexuality is perfectly moral. Love between 2 men or 2 women is the same as love between a man and a woman and should be celebrated. I intend to find a nice woman, marry her and love her for life, grow old with her and raise kids. And that's the same with pretty much every gay couple I know. I don't see what's "immoral" with loving someone, caring for them, being there for them, and making a committment for life, as marriage should be.
@Skulander1 Yin and Yang, Skul.Yin&Yin is chaotic, destructive, and evil.As is Yang&Yang. There are massive differences in the dynamics of man&woman vs man&man. That is a fact of reality, not opinion. Marriage came from the biological structure of sexual dimorphism. It is the psych. and social fruit of biological reproduction. The reason for male is female & vice versa. If we reproduced by budding there would be no marriage
@KarateCowboy05 LOL!!!! Marriage is a social construct. It has nothing to do with biology and with reproduction. Plenty of folks who will not, cannot reproduce are married and no one has the slightest problem with that. So far I havn't seen ONE compelling argument about why stable, loving gay couples shouldn't be allowed to enjoy the same rights are opposite-sex ones.
So if this is the way that the homosexual agenda is to be presented, I stand my grounds against it. Although they're in their rights to present and express themselves, acting obscene, creating no feasible argument beyond repeating and sarcastically agreeing with anti-homosexual arguments, and being rude/vulgar is no way to change my opinion of anyone, in fact it does nothing more than make those that oppose more stern. Is it really that hard to be respectful and respectable to make an argument?
Ignoring the fact that the obscenity in the title is hateful language itself, this video should be called FCKVIRTUE, because standing up for sexual morality is a virtue. BTW, for any given male fag if he had an identical twin w/ identical genes and env. then the odds are 80% that the twin will NOT be a perv., which proves they are not born that way.
@LegalEagleX Not everyone shares your interpretation. A person who steals is a thief. A person who does sodomy is a pervert. That's the way a lot of people see it.
@KarateCowboy05 You are an idiot. First, studies have indeed shown that, in the case of twins, if one is homosexual the other is likely to be. Also, just because two entities have the same exact DNA and genes, it does NOT mean that the same genes will be turned on in each individual. This is why in some identical twins one can develop a genetic disease and the other remains healthy. There is a difference between genotype, phenotype. Look it up and stop being a moron.
@mxylplitz1234 So do you think Dr. Francis Collins --the head of the Human Genome Project --is an idiot? Because all I did is echo his conclusions. Dr. Collins is considered one of the great biologists. He's up there with Pasteur, Darwin, Watson & Crick, etc. Is he a moron?
@KarateCowboy05 That is just it though, he does not claim homosexuality is not genetic. Homophobes have twisted his words and the science (because most religious nuts and hompophobes do not understand and even fear science and knowledge. Instead they focus on an unscientific, 2000 year old fairy tale written by bronze age goat herders).
@mxylplitz1234 Perhaps you could apply to run the Human Genome Project? After all, if Collins is an idiot for reaching the conclusions he has --given the success the project has had with an 'idiot' like him at the helm --I'm sure you could do even better, right?
@mxylplitz1234 To quote Dr. Collins: Evidence from twin studies does in fact support the conclusion that heritable factors play a role in male homosexuality. However, the likelihood that the identical twin of a homosexual male will also be gay is about 20% (compared with 2-4 percent of males in the general population), indicating that sexual orientation is genetically influenced but not hardwired by DNA, and that whatever genes are involved represent predispositions, not predeterminations"
@KarateCowboy05 First, Collins is ONE scientist of many. Second, reading his comment supports the FACT that homosexuality is genetic. You homophobes have taken his comments, and the research, and twisted it. The fact is that almost EVERYTHING that is genetically influenced is not necessarily hardwired and that genes represent predisposition not predetermination. Example, many cancers are genetic. Does this mean you will get cancer if you have that gene? No, it does not ...........(PART 1)
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 2) ...... Also, a person born homosexual (predisposition) could, because of religious hatred, homophobes, and fear of being killed for simply existing could choose to live a lie and pretend to be heterosexual (so not predetermination). Lastly, the fact that (at least the article claims) 20% of twins where one is homosexual, the other is too compared to 2-3% of the population, supports that it is genetic. Seems that the genome project supports a genetic basis .....(CONT.)
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 3) The data to be learned from the human genome project is still far from completely analyzed. Dr. Collins' quotes have been twisted and changed by anti-homosexual activists and religious wack jobs. Do some actual research and you will find that he supports the idea that homosexuality is genetic AND, since a specific gene has not yet been found, there are also other factors. But, I would not expect a person that knows nothing of science/genetics to understand this.
@mxylplitz1234 their is no prof of a born this way theory. thats like srial killers are born that way. society makes you that way buddy. Alot of gay people have been molested or exposed to other things earlier in life. Your not born that way
@kellyannabama First, learn proper English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation before trying to have a grown up conversation. Second, there is plenty of proof that homosexuals are born that way. Let me ask you Kelly, "when did you choose to be straight?” No, serial killers are not born that way. That is a ridiculous and ignorant analogy. It is a LIE that a lot or even most gay people were molested. Please support your ridiculous claims with real data. Kelly, you are a moron.
@KarateCowboy05 Quote from Dr. Collins: "It troubles me greatly to learn that anything I have written would cause anguish for you or others who are seeking answers to the basis of homosexuality. The words quoted by NARTH all come from the Appendix to my book “The Language of God” (pp. 260-263), but have been juxtaposed in a way that suggests a somewhat different conclusion that I intended. I would urge anyone who is concerned about the meaning to refer back to the original text. ..... (PART 1)
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 2 of quote): The evidence we have at present strongly supports the proposition that there are hereditary factors in male homosexuality — the observation that an identical twin of a male homosexual has approximately a 20% likelihood of also being gay points to this conclusion, since that is 10 times the population incidence. But the fact that the answer is not 100% also suggests that other factors besides DNA must be involved....... (QUOTE CONTINUES)
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 3 of quote): That certainly doesn’t imply, however, that those other undefined factors are inherently alterable. Your note indicated that your real interest is in the truth. And this is about all that we really know. No one has yet identified an actual gene that contributes to the hereditary component (the reports about a gene on the X chromosome from the 1990s have not held up), but it is likely that such genes will be found in the next few years." (END QUOTE)
...................Those last two shots...................THAT'S IT!!! I'm going to say it now! These people DO NOT deserve the "rights" that they want. I'm able to forgive the bigotry. The intolerance. The rhetoric. I'm even able to forgive the violence to some degrees. But those last two shots put me over the edge.

Skulander1 7 months ago
@Skulander1 Yin and Yang, Skul.Yin&Yin is chaotic, destructive, and evil.As is Yang&Yang. There are massive differences in the dynamics of man&woman vs man&man. That is a fact of reality, not opinion. Marriage came from the biological structure of sexual dimorphism. It is the psych. and social fruit of biological reproduction. The reason for male is female & vice versa. If we reproduced by budding there would be no marriage
KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 LOL!!!! Marriage is a social construct. It has nothing to do with biology and with reproduction. Plenty of folks who will not, cannot reproduce are married and no one has the slightest problem with that. So far I havn't seen ONE compelling argument about why stable, loving gay couples shouldn't be allowed to enjoy the same rights are opposite-sex ones.

Why is it for every respectable, calm, collected pro-homosexual rant, there are five like this? It makes me wonder.

This video is f*cking dumb.

I may agree with the underlying sentiment... but this video is an idiotic travesty; an ill-conceived trainwreck.

KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 That's terrible language you're using...you cannot be taken seriously when all you do is refer to people using slurs. Words matter.
The video is idiotic. But your comments aren't any better.
LegalEagleX 7 months ago
@LegalEagleX Not everyone shares your interpretation. A person who steals is a thief. A person who does sodomy is a pervert. That's the way a lot of people see it.
KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 You are an idiot. First, studies have indeed shown that, in the case of twins, if one is homosexual the other is likely to be. Also, just because two entities have the same exact DNA and genes, it does NOT mean that the same genes will be turned on in each individual. This is why in some identical twins one can develop a genetic disease and the other remains healthy. There is a difference between genotype, phenotype. Look it up and stop being a moron.
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@mxylplitz1234 So do you think Dr. Francis Collins --the head of the Human Genome Project --is an idiot? Because all I did is echo his conclusions. Dr. Collins is considered one of the great biologists. He's up there with Pasteur, Darwin, Watson & Crick, etc. Is he a moron?
KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 That is just it though, he does not claim homosexuality is not genetic. Homophobes have twisted his words and the science (because most religious nuts and hompophobes do not understand and even fear science and knowledge. Instead they focus on an unscientific, 2000 year old fairy tale written by bronze age goat herders).
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@mxylplitz1234 Perhaps you could apply to run the Human Genome Project? After all, if Collins is an idiot for reaching the conclusions he has --given the success the project has had with an 'idiot' like him at the helm --I'm sure you could do even better, right?
KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 I could work for the project actually. Collins is not an idiot and he never concluded that homosexuality was not genetic.
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@mxylplitz1234 To quote Dr. Collins: Evidence from twin studies does in fact support the conclusion that heritable factors play a role in male homosexuality. However, the likelihood that the identical twin of a homosexual male will also be gay is about 20% (compared with 2-4 percent of males in the general population), indicating that sexual orientation is genetically influenced but not hardwired by DNA, and that whatever genes are involved represent predispositions, not predeterminations"
KarateCowboy05 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 First, Collins is ONE scientist of many. Second, reading his comment supports the FACT that homosexuality is genetic. You homophobes have taken his comments, and the research, and twisted it. The fact is that almost EVERYTHING that is genetically influenced is not necessarily hardwired and that genes represent predisposition not predetermination. Example, many cancers are genetic. Does this mean you will get cancer if you have that gene? No, it does not ...........(PART 1)
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 2) ...... Also, a person born homosexual (predisposition) could, because of religious hatred, homophobes, and fear of being killed for simply existing could choose to live a lie and pretend to be heterosexual (so not predetermination). Lastly, the fact that (at least the article claims) 20% of twins where one is homosexual, the other is too compared to 2-3% of the population, supports that it is genetic. Seems that the genome project supports a genetic basis .....(CONT.)
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 3) The data to be learned from the human genome project is still far from completely analyzed. Dr. Collins' quotes have been twisted and changed by anti-homosexual activists and religious wack jobs. Do some actual research and you will find that he supports the idea that homosexuality is genetic AND, since a specific gene has not yet been found, there are also other factors. But, I would not expect a person that knows nothing of science/genetics to understand this.
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@mxylplitz1234 their is no prof of a born this way theory. thats like srial killers are born that way. society makes you that way buddy. Alot of gay people have been molested or exposed to other things earlier in life. Your not born that way
kellyannabama 7 months ago
@kellyannabama First, learn proper English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation before trying to have a grown up conversation. Second, there is plenty of proof that homosexuals are born that way. Let me ask you Kelly, "when did you choose to be straight?” No, serial killers are not born that way. That is a ridiculous and ignorant analogy. It is a LIE that a lot or even most gay people were molested. Please support your ridiculous claims with real data. Kelly, you are a moron.

mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 Quote from Dr. Collins: "It troubles me greatly to learn that anything I have written would cause anguish for you or others who are seeking answers to the basis of homosexuality. The words quoted by NARTH all come from the Appendix to my book “The Language of God” (pp. 260-263), but have been juxtaposed in a way that suggests a somewhat different conclusion that I intended. I would urge anyone who is concerned about the meaning to refer back to the original text. ..... (PART 1)
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 2 of quote): The evidence we have at present strongly supports the proposition that there are hereditary factors in male homosexuality — the observation that an identical twin of a male homosexual has approximately a 20% likelihood of also being gay points to this conclusion, since that is 10 times the population incidence. But the fact that the answer is not 100% also suggests that other factors besides DNA must be involved....... (QUOTE CONTINUES)
mxylplitz1234 7 months ago
@KarateCowboy05 (PART 3 of quote): That certainly doesn’t imply, however, that those other undefined factors are inherently alterable. Your note indicated that your real interest is in the truth. And this is about all that we really know. No one has yet identified an actual gene that contributes to the hereditary component (the reports about a gene on the X chromosome from the 1990s have not held up), but it is likely that such genes will be found in the next few years." (END QUOTE)
