Our crude growth rate in the US is low and barely positive which means that we have too many older people and not enough young people for our work force. This leaves the US dependent on immigrants for our work force and I think most would agree this is not a good thing. At this rate, we will encounter similar problems as Europe's work force and society.
Also, we know that women who have abortions are much more likely to engage in risky behaviors, which means that 15 yr olds future does not look brighter but bleaker from an abortion. I agree that many children are passed on through the foster system and are never adopted. This is a problem but abortion is not the answer. On a positive note, children who enter the foster system as babies and young children have very little difficulty becoming adopted (the older children have more trouble.)

On a side note, I too was a teen mother at 19 and I faced my parents, had my son, and I am a senior with a 3.85. We need to offer more support to women so, they do not feel believe that a child will ruin their future.

Prop 4 is a Common Sense Law (notification, not consent)
Two of the chairs are on other sides of the fence, one is pro-Choice, the other pro-Life. This is about protecting our youth AND their rights.
Keep this in mind - it is common sense for health and safety, not about abortion rights.

I was 16 when I got pregnant. I got an abortion to protect my future, and it worked. I am now an sophomore at UCLA who is having a blast and is not suicidal.
