I yearn for the days when society wasn't so goddamned militant. Used to be my brand before I had to quit. Though I quit, people, in general, used to be so much more tolerant, cool, etc., etc., and I have no problem with someone smoking next to me.
AAHAHAHHAHAHAHA ESTIE GANG DE CON TOUTES LES SMOKE DE IMPERIAL SON FAITES AUX MEXIQUE AVEC DU TABAC MEXICAIN AAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH PI QUAND VOUS VOYAGER VOUS DITE ARRRSHHH C PAS BON DES CIGARETTES MEXICAINE LOL NOUS ON RIE
I remember this from my youth in the mid-60s. I always liked the catchy tune. As I recall, the English version started with the words: 'Almost everywhere you go today, somebody's smoking DuMaurier.' I never took up smoking but it shows what a catchy tune can do to embed a product in your memory!
@Kaynos bof de nos jours nomme moi une affaire a part se branler qui donne pas le cancer...pis encore la check ben l'étude qui vont nous sortir la dessus :P
It's easy to figure out: it's your basic cigarette commercial, talking about how good their cigarettes are, the social appeal and the triple filter they have. I don't speak any French but I figured that out by just watching it a few times, not rocket science.
Je me souviens de la mélodie de ce commercial, qui jouait à la fin des années 1960. Je l'entendais avant de partir pour l'école. Ça rappelle beaucoup de souvenirs... :-) Merci!
I'd love it if I could buy a "cigarette" sampler ....one pack of each Canadian brand. Here in the USA I buy "MacDonalds Export A" Canadian Cigarettes. I think they are only for export from canada....I am told they are not sold there. Canadian cigs are similar to Brit cigs but I think they taste better than the Brit smokes
@loftymuses It isn't scrap tobacco, not to say some low budget cigarette brands use floor sweepings, and to set the record straight, most/90% of the carcinogens in cigarette smoke are from the simple combustion/deflagration process, not added. If you burn and smoke almost anything it produces known carcinogens.
@inkey2 Lets see that would include quite a few brands, one of the new tabacco company tricks is to come out with cheap brands these days so there are lots of those. MacDonald Export A, Rothmans, Players, Belvedere, Number 7, Bensen and Hedges, Matinee, and DuMaurier (of course) are the main ones. MacDonald is owned by R.J Reynolds so that would explain why they are sold in the U.S. One way to spot an export pack of Canadian cigarettes is that it doesn't have a diseased organ picture on it.

Nah they sell Export A's here. They're the expensive ones along with Player's, Du Maurier, etc. Between 9 and 10$ a pack.
