Fans are all take, and no give back. I can't blame them, I want my music for free too, and so I gave away all my music for free to build a fan base. The problem is that leaves you only with concerts as a way to make a living at it, and trance and techno is made at home or in a studio and not in real time. Nobody is going to pay 15 bucks to go to a concert to watch you move a mouse around and click play on a playlist player. All that is left is light shows, & if you have a singer, karoke.

Well, I quit making music because there was no money in it, at all, period. I loved to mix up awesome stuff in Sony Acid, I had 60,000 plays and over 10,000 friends on Myspace, and I did it because I loved being creative. But at the end of the day you have to face the facts, its a dead in road, there's no future in it at all. If I had gotten just a few token sales, enough to inspire me to make more, I would of, but there is just nothing there. The world is flooded with music competition.
