  • Which sensor IC's do you use on your board?

  • @kctheblast12 NTE-3100

  • Hi, how to change 1997 Honda Odyssey 2.2 Crank Position Sensor?

  • I have no idea. I hate minivans.

  • This isn't even vehicle, but I kept watching/listening because I like the song.

  • what song is that in the background, i would really appreciate to know who sings it and the name of it.

  • @Heberaro It's listed in the video's description. :) "I'm Working On It" by Chris Rhea

  • What version of Megasquirt do you use? Have you investigated the way to utilize the normal hole sensor to pick up the trigger signal?

I'm planning to replace the LE-Jetro analog computer by Megasquirt and going to use MS-Extra code with MS 1.0 board. But I haven't finished the investigation if I could use the original hole sensor to feed the trigger signal to MS ignition control code. As you made your own crank position sensor, I think the original hole sensor can't be used with MSExtra. Right?

  • @89k100rs I did try that originally. I made a new I'm using MS 1 with the Extra code. I did try using the original Hall sensor by making a new trigger wheel. The new wheel had 5 holes and one gap, so it was a 6-1 wheel. It didn't work. When cranking, the RPM's would vary as each cylinder hit compression. Because of that, MS couldn't see where the missing tooth was.

  • @ElQuesoGuapo It took an oscilloscope to find that problem, and then it was pretty obvious. Looking at the graph, I hard a hard time finding the missing tooth. So it's no wonder the MS couldn't.

The new sensor is optical. It can use smaller gaps in the wheel, which lets me run a 15 tooth wheel. And the sensors are smaller, so I was able to add a second one as a second trigger in the factory location.

If you want more details, message me with an email address and I can send some data to you

  • @89k100rs It will work for fuel only, but if you want to control spark, then you need to replace it with something like what I built

  • hi man, exactly what does it need for?

maybe coulb be the solution fro my k100 rs 16v. Waiting for yours.

    brgs

  • The sensor is needed because this bike is turbocharged and has a MegaSquirt computer running the engine. The MegaSquirt couldn't work with the normal sensor.

Are you putting a MegaSquirt system on your K100RS? If so, I can send you the designs.

  • just today i opened the cover to see what is inside. as you told is different.

what do you mean for Mega squirt? thanks in advance for your time.

  • You could also add a comment with a parts list or instructions on how to make the tester or you make it and someone emails you to buy it.

  • You could adjust the title to include: bmw k75 k100? k1100? and something about home made DIY tester etc to make it easier to find from google. Cool video. Also, consider adding some text comments about what is going on and what the lights mean, etc. Thanks for the info!
