I much prefer the slower tempo and drastic dynamic changes. The exact version i've been looking for. Its such a shame for the slight fuzz in audio. Favourited :)
@KurtRobo Thanks, dear KurtRobo, for your appreciation of my rendition. In therse days I read someone that appreciates the characteristics of my interpretation. This makes me so glad because above all the start of this piece was challenged in past time. So I thanks you so much ed invite you to check mine other videos.
This is just one of the few performances of this piece I have ever seen, which is played slowly as probably Mozart himself would have played it. Thank you. Excellent performance.
@sssatrunnn Thanks so much, dear User, for your post because as you easily see, the andamento of the first part of the piece is wdely contestated. I invite you to check other mine videos.

@Seven65 I think you were inspired while playing, I actually appreciate the low tempo at the beggining.. plus it adds a lot of character and II enjoy it. :)
@Guadalupefan Thanks for this appreciation, dear Guadalupefan! My personal choicxe to play in this way and with this andamento is explained time ago on this page. Thanks so much again!
@1monayoussef Dear so special friend... here are you and this make me so happy. Thanks for your time, thanks for your word, thanks fro your sensibility.
At 1:53 isn't the first E supposed to be forte, the second one piano and the rest gradually getting louder again? I'm just asking, I'm still learning this piece :)
@dancer8164 the answer is not the only possible because depends about the cut of interpretation, the level of the musician... and perhaps... the age. So I can answer you but I tell you that If we reach a logical solution that respect the text we become believable. Perhaps you are right conforming a precise interpretation.
ive heard this piece fast and slow..prefer slow..this piece is soothing when the tempo is slower..octave range can really change moods around..lol..not too pitchy when played slower
I'm learning this piece currently, and I've hoped that I will soon be able to play it as well as you! I especially like how you played the faster part near the end; your fingers move with agility, but still with a light and quick touch.
This is great! Currently working on this piece and I'm always doubting what tempo I should play it. I think I play it twice as fast but I like to play it slower. This performance acknowledges that (and the piece is almost written for it it seems), slowdowns "according to your your feeling" ar allowed! :) Also makes it easier to play, when you let your emotions flow. Thanks!
@WeZetMusic Thanks dear listener for your words. If you read the comments about this rendition you find that I am sometimes hard criticized for the Andamento of the first part. You have pinpointed my idea.

@PianistChris Thanks PianistChris, I am so glad if my rendition can be useful for someone! Yes, you are right, I spoken about this matter time ago on this page and there are really quite different interpretation not only , of course about the "andamento" but for the character and other....

Very Great.. i play the same piece.. i couldnt play it without a fault.. respect!! but for me, its kinda to slow, but doesnt matter, its really amazing how you play it! *****
For the last let me say that If you take a serious edition (For example"Henle Verga" or "Bärenreiter") you DON'T find the metronome indication for this score.
I have explained more and more times the reasons that make possible this "Andamento". I invite you to read the previous comments if you have time to spend for this.
I am sure that youknow the the "Andamento" of a score is a sum of various variables and not only based on a mechanical tic-tac.
Also I am sure that you know that the metronome indication that we find on Mozart music are NOT by Mozart. Why?
Because the official introduction of the metronome in the music...
Dumbass, this piece would be boring as shit if it were played to the strict rhythm of a metronome. The Mozart Fantasies lend themselves to a huge amount of rhythmic freedom. That's part of what makes them so expressive. Have you seen how many fermatas there are in this piece? Do you even know what a fermata is?
@GuideLightt I take it you never have/will play an impressionist piece properly then? This may not be impressionist or even romantic, but it's not baroque either so why metronome?
I Love discoveries in timeless masterpieces...Great Interpretation ! just a wishing on sound recording quality...prefer to have at least in paralleled level of performing...over "mashed" echoes...Thank you.

This part of this piece touch our heart for various reasons. It would be interesting ask to each person that watch the Mozart Fantasia what imagines what feel...
THANKS! I have returned to university at the age of almost 48 and have been assigned this piece in piano class for this semester. It was so helpful to hear and see you play it.
its almost as if mozart was trying to capture the 7 stages of suicide or death in this composition....was this piece written towards the end of his life something? it feels like it...anyway absolutely exquisite playing.
Honestly, i love your interpretation...best n youtube to my ears....ive had a passion for a classical for awhile ive never got around to learning the piano though. wish i had.
Dear friend, thanks to appreciate this rendition. I compose music when I was 15 not continuously. But I prefer be a pianist because I think that my pianism is better than my compositions. In YT there are many "composers". If I was them surely I wouldnot publish the..."compositions"!
It was a pleasure listening to you play this fantasy. Great contrast.
After being away from the piano for almost 20 years, I'm taking it up again, and this is one of the pieces I'm working on. I have a question. Is there a version of the piece with an alternate ending? I have a recording of Mitsuko Uchida playing it, but she ends with the slow introductory material from the beginning. When I looked at the music, I was surprised!
Thanks for your appreciation. The Fantasy autograph was lost and we know certainly that the Fantasy didn't terminated by Mozart. this work terminates at bar 97. The ending was written by August Eberhard Müller.
I hope that this information can be useful. Mitsuko Uchida is a Mozart great performer of our days. I play the official version. But nobody of us now what was the MOzart think to write the piece to the double bar.
dear lovingjonas5, this piece is difficult for all the ages. Believe me.
I can only say that you can try to imagine, hear what this music speak in your heart. And try to reproduce these feelings with the instrument. Unfortunately I don't know you and don't know how you play.
i wouldnt manage to play THIS slow but its beautiful anyways :)

its almost as if mozart was trying to capture the 7 stages of suicide or death in this composition....was this piece written towards the end of his life something? it feels like it...anyway absolutely exquisite playing.

Honestly, i love your interpretation...best n youtube to my ears....ive had a passion for a classical for awhile ive never got around to learning the piano though. wish i had.
druglover200 2 years ago
Very well done, i enjoyed you playing one of my favorite pieces from Mozart. But do you have any original songs?
sniperatarooftop 2 years ago
Dear friend, thanks to appreciate this rendition. I compose music when I was 15 not continuously. But I prefer be a pianist because I think that my pianism is better than my compositions. In YT there are many "composers". If I was them surely I wouldnot publish the..."compositions"!
Thanks for the post!

When I looked at the music, I was surprised!
jerrytomball 2 years ago
Hi dear jerrytomball!
Like the Requiem...(?)

Nuccio
