  • i wouldnt manage to play THIS slow but its beautiful anyways :)

  • @semichiselful I thanks you for the wide of your point of view. Compliments dear!

  • I much prefer the slower tempo and drastic dynamic changes. The exact version i've been looking for. Its such a shame for the slight fuzz in audio. Favourited :)

  • @KurtRobo Thanks, dear KurtRobo, for your appreciation of my rendition. In therse days I read someone that appreciates the characteristics of my interpretation. This makes me so glad because above all the start of this piece was challenged in past time. So I thanks you so much ed invite you to check mine other videos.

    Nuccio Trotta

  • This is just one of the few performances of this piece I have ever seen, which is played slowly as probably Mozart himself would have played it. Thank you. Excellent performance.

  • @sssatrunnn Thanks so much, dear User, for your post because as you easily see, the andamento of the first part of the piece is wdely contestated. I invite you to check other mine videos.

  • Mozart's piano is so neglected nowadays :( i like hes piano so much! its delicate and elegant, and u need to have a perfect touch for Mozart ! just as this GENIUS in the video ur watching ;), Nuccio, best wishes... im with you for ever! - Bassicstorm

  • @Classicfan94 Thanks so much, I have no way to thank you.

  • why are you looking at the ceiling

    the beginning is too slow

  • @ustinkirock0610 I don't remember why I was looking the ceiling... this concerts was made about 4 years ago...

About the tempo in the previous posts I have largely discussed about. Thanks for your post.

    Nuccio Trotta

  • @Seven65 I think you were inspired while playing, I actually appreciate the low tempo at the beggining.. plus it adds a lot of character and II enjoy it. :)

  • @Guadalupefan Thanks for this appreciation, dear Guadalupefan! My personal choicxe to play in this way and with this andamento is explained time ago on this page. Thanks so much again!

    Check other mine works...

    Nuccio Trotta

  • this is a good performance it sounds great slow but i think (in my opinion) it should a tad bit faster... but i loved it :) keep up the good work :D

  • @federicozegarra Thanks for your approvation nevertheless the initial... speed...:-) If you like my playing, check the others work...

    Nuccio Trotta

  • wow awsome song!!

  • This is a bad performance, in my opinion.

  • @g3org33r3 Thanks.

  • More than beautiful!!!! God blesses your talent and thnak you for sharing it with us.

  • @1monayoussef Dear so special friend... here are you and this make me so happy. Thanks for your time, thanks for your word, thanks fro your sensibility.

    Nuccio Trotta

  • At 1:53 isn't the first E supposed to be forte, the second one piano and the rest gradually getting louder again? I'm just asking, I'm still learning this piece :)

  • @dancer8164 the answer is not the only possible because depends about the cut of interpretation, the level of the musician... and perhaps... the age. So I can answer you but I tell you that If we reach a logical solution that respect the text we become believable. Perhaps you are right conforming a precise interpretation.

I hope to be right about the mine :-)

    Nuccio Trotta

  • @Seven65 Thank you! I do love the way you play it, it just sounded different then how I personally play it. Great job!

  • @dancer8164 Dear friend, thanks for your words. I am so glad doe your understanding.

    Yours,

    Nuccio Trotta

  • ive heard this piece fast and slow..prefer slow..this piece is soothing when the tempo is slower..octave range can really change moods around..lol..not too pitchy when played slower

  • That was amazing! :)

I'm learning this piece currently, and I've hoped that I will soon be able to play it as well as you! I especially like how you played the faster part near the end; your fingers move with agility, but still with a light and quick touch.

    Bravo!

  • He holds the pedal down so long it sounds blurred in the beginning, but otherwise a good interpretation. I am currently working on this one.

  • @hk47829 Probably the effect of the blur is made by the church... but I want thank you for your general appreciation.

    Nuccio Trotta

  • @Seven65 Okay, but otherwise a very good performance

  • This is great! Currently working on this piece and I'm always doubting what tempo I should play it. I think I play it twice as fast but I like to play it slower. This performance acknowledges that (and the piece is almost written for it it seems), slowdowns "according to your your feeling" ar allowed! :) Also makes it easier to play, when you let your emotions flow. Thanks!

  • @WeZetMusic Thanks dear listener for your words. If you read the comments about this rendition you find that I am sometimes hard criticized for the Andamento of the first part. You have pinpointed my idea.

I am happy when someone thinks that my ideas are not ... completely crazy...

Thanks so much for your contribution! I hope to read again on my works,

    At the next,

    Nuccio Trotta

  • Hi dear Friend, yes, I agree with you. The part that starts in that moment is so particular...do you find also a sadness?

Thanks for your appreciation and contribution.

As you see this rendition is very discussed so I am happy when someone appreciates this mine work... I invite you to check other videos.

    At the next...

    ...I hope...

  • Once it gets to 1:07 is magical...I love this...brings a calmness

  • so boooooooooring

  • @Quaigaman sooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

  • Very nicely played, this will be a great help when I have to play it at my Christmas Concert...

What I find great about this piece is the fact that there is no set metronome really, so there are many amazing different interpretations of the piece. :)

  • @PianistChris Thanks PianistChris, I am so glad if my rendition can be useful for someone! Yes, you are right, I spoken about this matter time ago on this page and there are really quite different interpretation not only , of course about the "andamento" but for the character and other....

Have a good concert for the Christmas.

Tell my about when you have played this event.

wishing a life in the music,

    sincerely,

    Nuccio Trotta

  • BRAVISIMO!!!! i have a very big problem with the motion i have to put on the piece in order to be great... i have a lack of emotions i guess ... i'm trying to fix this though :(

  • @xXKatiEXxMissMexX Thanks for your appreciation dear,xXKatiEXxMissMexX. I am sure that you'll solve your problem.... seeing the life and the death, seeing the happiness and the sadness... Believe and you'll see.

    Your friend,

    Nuccio Trotta

  • Very Great.. i play the same piece.. i couldnt play it without a fault.. respect!! but for me, its kinda to slow, but doesnt matter, its really amazing how you play it! *****

  • @achmedliebtachi Dear friend, thanks so much for the courtesy and respect to express your idea about my rendering.

    5 stars to you.

I wish you a life in the music.

  • bravissimo Nuccio!

I enjoyed your masterpiece video very much...

sounds super beautiful and the wonderful images from you and your

piano are a pleasure to watch...I love the song you are playing in your video too.

    complimenti......................tu amigo.........michael.....

  • @michaelplayingislove Thanks so much MIchael, hanks so much for your support! I am so glad for your appreciation.

    thanks from your friend...

    ...Nuccio Trotta

  • Get a fuckin' metronome maybe?

  • @GuideLightt ???

  • @Seven65 well on a sheet of music, in the corner, a speed or style is indicated,

metronomes help you play to that designated speed...

  • ...by Mälzel in the 1816...

Exactly 25 years after the death of Mozart.

For the last let me say that If you take a serious edition (For example"Henle Verga" or "Bärenreiter") you DON'T find the metronome indication for this score.

    Kind regards,

    Nuccio Trotta

  • @GuideLightt Dear Friend,

I have explained more and more times the reasons that make possible this "Andamento". I invite you to read the previous comments if you have time to spend for this.

I am sure that youknow the the "Andamento" of a score is a sum of various variables and not only based on a mechanical tic-tac.

Also I am sure that you know that the metronome indication that we find on Mozart music are NOT by Mozart. Why?

Because the official introduction of the metronome in the music...

  • @GuideLightt sorry but the comment too long was splitted for my mistake in reverse order.

    Kind regards,

    Nuccio Trota

  • @GuideLightt

Dumbass, this piece would be boring as shit if it were played to the strict rhythm of a metronome. The Mozart Fantasies lend themselves to a huge amount of rhythmic freedom. That's part of what makes them so expressive. Have you seen how many fermatas there are in this piece? Do you even know what a fermata is?

  • @GuideLightt I take it you never have/will play an impressionist piece properly then? This may not be impressionist or even romantic, but it's not baroque either so why metronome?

  • nice song :)

  • @limkingkong Yes, I agree with you.

  • This piece is absolutely beautiful, but you play it so slowly that it gets boring.

  • @pbryld oh....

    ...sorry!

  • @pbryld check Gilels.

  • Muito bom!!!

    Parabéns e sucesso Nuccio!

  • thank u

    its like pray

he trying to tell us " Oh , god." it should sounds maximum "mezzo forte" or "forte in piano" i dont know how to say it in english

  • it seems its not mozart....

    very rude "A" on forte

    the heme should sounds unique

  • @csportalcomua thanks csportalcomua for your opinion.

  • a putoamodetodo y Seven65 digo que aunque esta es una de las piezas mas "romanticas" de mozart, su musica no es de tanto pedal.Pero concuerdo con que es una buenisima interpretacion.

  • @cu65itri1 I perfectly mean when you say about the romantic content of this piece. Thanks so much for your appreciation. I invite you to check other works and write about.

  • @BrookHornblower Yes dear subscriber. Sorry if I don'answer you in Spanish but i am not able to write or speak your language.

I invite you to check other mine works.

thanks so much for your post.

    Nuccio Trotta

  • Excelente interpretacion, yo tambien soy pianista y la he tocado y si me lo permites, sonaria mejor si desde el 1:08 al 1:20 usases mas el pedal o ligases mas la mano izquierda, pero una excelente interpretacion sinceramente.

Excellent interpretation, I'm also a pianist and I've played it and with your permision, it'd sound better if you'd use more the pedal or legato since 1:08 to 1:20 in your left hand, but, sincerely an amazing performance

  • @putoamodetodo Hi dear friend. Above all thanks to have posted two time the post, one in Spanish and the second for me that understand the English!

  • its almost as if mozart was trying to capture the 7 stages of suicide or death in this composition....was this piece written towards the end of his life something? it feels like it...anyway absolutely exquisite playing.

  • Yes i agree with your sensations about this masterpiece!

    happy for your appreciation!

Check other works if you lke my pianism,

    Yours

    Nuccio Trotta

  • Honestly, i love your interpretation...best n youtube to my ears....ive had a passion for a classical for awhile ive never got around to learning the piano though. wish i had.

  • Very well done, i enjoyed you playing one of my favorite pieces from Mozart. But do you have any original songs?

  • Dear friend, thanks to appreciate this rendition. I compose music when I was 15 not continuously. But I prefer be a pianist because I think that my pianism is better than my compositions. In YT there are many "composers". If I was them surely I wouldnot publish the..."compositions"!

    Thanks for the post!

    Nuccio Trotta

  • I'm gonna learn this piece now! It's awesome, I love it.

    Absolutely values in this piece.

    Again. You are right.

And Again, you are close to me.

    Your,

    Nuccio

  • It was a pleasure listening to you play this fantasy. Great contrast.

After being away from the piano for almost 20 years, I'm taking it up again, and this is one of the pieces I'm working on. I have a question. Is there a version of the piece with an alternate ending? I have a recording of Mitsuko Uchida playing it, but she ends with the slow introductory material from the beginning. When I looked at the music, I was surprised!

  • Hi dear jerrytomball!

Thanks for your appreciation. The Fantasy autograph was lost and we know certainly that the Fantasy didn't terminated by Mozart. this work terminates at bar 97. The ending was written by August Eberhard Müller.

I hope that this information can be useful. Mitsuko Uchida is a Mozart great performer of our days. I play the official version. But nobody of us now what was the MOzart think to write the piece to the double bar.

    Like the Requiem...(?)

    Yours,

    Nuccio

  • wooww......i really enjoy this. You must to have a good heart to play in this way. I think I start to like Mozart.......

    Thank you sire:)

  • Dear Incaunrand, I don't know if I have a good heart... I must not say this. But this piece is a masterpiece by Mozart.

And we must are capable to go up and down in the life in... milliseconds..!

But I have to thank you. For your comment. This is good for my soul.
