  • When women did there hair in the past it was a part of the routine. Nowadays we aas women can't find a half hour to moisturize their hair. This style is so beautiful. The Root booster does work !! I agree.

  • I think you should experiment with your pin curls a little more... and use hairspray as a final touch, rather than "the main ingredient".

Keep up the good work :)

  • I love it! Is there anything you CAN'T DO???? lol!!!

  • its really good! i just dont like the hair style in her, and i love her eyes soooo gorgues

  • You can act, you can dance, you can model, you're a make-up artist, AND you can do hair. Is there anything you SUCK at Koren? :P I love this. Gorgeous.

  • hahaha Oh LipRouge, youre too adorable!

  • hey! nice video! a quick question - ive tried spraying hairspray before using the curling iron and the heat just makes the hairspray stick to the itron and get goopy- could it have been the brand of hairspray? or should i let it set a bit before using the curling iron?

  • yes let the spray dry a little

  • you know you can achieve that look much better placing rollers vertically across the head alternating small to large rollers, the wave is much more pronounced and authentic looking

  • "don't run a brush or a comb through it" LMAO

  • thanks i will definately try that, except i won't ruin the curl at the end like u did

btw don't say "likeh so" as much. it gets super annoying

  • i didn't like it...not wavy enough..those curls looked really dead ,,i want a deep wavy look with that side part

  • fabulous! love it will be trying that out! looks very glam!

  • aww this was my first hair tutorial i watched ^_^.

  • stop saying this doesn't look like Veronica Lake. Jessica isn't her and this look is just a look. inspired by that women, that time, it is classic and it is a Peek-a-boo, so don't complain and make it better if you can!

  • that model looks so confused

  • omg....this was really dissapointing after watching all those 8 minutes. the hair turned out so flat. i'm really suprised you didn't brush the hair out. you should have used a slightly smaller curling iron and held it for longer and then brushed it out and set the wave pattern.

  • i love that hair style soft and beautiful

  • that's how pursebuzz does her curls too.

  • wow she has a lot of hair pretty though

  • Thanks for the video. The only problem I had with this was the hair spray, and the big pin curls. I always thought to achieve the soft but bouncy waves was to use a not-so-strong hold hairspray, and for hair like your model, you would have to use tighter pin curls or sleep with them over night since it's harder for straight hair to hold curls. But anyway, I like watching because it gave a good visual on what exactly to do :)

  • Her makeup looks great, but the waves are way too loose. If you don't have that wave kissing the cheekbone, it isn't Veronica Lake.

In my experience, you would either need to do tighter pincurls, or use hot rollers. Even though hot rollers are really ungainly, they're usually the best was to approach retro looks like this one. Also, this is one of the only styles in which you can brush after you curl, since the waves are meant to be soft and ethereal.

    Thanks for the video.

  • thank you so much for the tips.

  • No, its way too flat. That is not Veronica lake, thats Marcia Brady!

  • my hair is really layored..... will this stillwork?

  • definitely give it a try.

  • wow.. you're an artist !

  • She is stunning, Her hair and makeup looks fabulous.

You are such a great stylist! :)

  • Hey! I have a couple questions.

I have a bigger curling iron...will it still work?

And my hair is very layered...will this hairstyle still work for me?

I hope so...I really would like to try this!

  • hey senses, for layered hair its best to spray the strips first with hairspray or setting spray, then curl with your iron. This way the layer with cluster together. Make sure to pin the curls after using the iron so that the heat works the curls further.

  • I so LOVE her eye make up:) koren, can i ask what brand of curling iron you used?thanks!

  • hey Reez - its Revlon

  • just like soooo.. LOL haha I love that!

    nice video, very helpful!

  • Fantastic best version of peekaboo bangs I have ever seen and I've seen a lot!

  • I tried a similar style before watching this, and it's helped to clear up how to curl the part in front (what would be my bangs)

    thank you!

  • Wow you made her look like sarah jessica Parker

  • this was fantastic, you are great I am going to try this...

  • How can someone with an interest in hair and makeup tips rip on this guy for being gay? Maybe you're just insecure about your own tendancies.

  • I love it this is so pretty!! Thankyou so much! =)

  • How dare people judge another person negatively?! Grow up! Instead of commenting about a person's right to choose who they love, look on improving yourself. EnKore, you have an amazing talent! • enkore thank you so much, your videos have been very usefull!

i love this look, do you think i can use hot rollers instead of the curling iron???

  • Absolutely! Give the hair a little twist on each roll, and it should work just as good!
