  • Yo guys, just search 'how to fix audio copyright' and you'll find the video on how to get your audio back, it's under the 'Copy right' law of entertainment of 1976, once you follow the steps you'll have your audio back within minutes, no joke, no spam, I've done it on my films a couple times now and it works every time. :) Also, check out my acting channel and if you like my work then subscribe and leave me some video comments!

  • ITS A TRUE STORY THE HOOK MAN IS A TRUE STORY

  • nice video,what editing software did u use?and did u use a lense adapter

  • the reason there is no sound is because this is ectual adio of th original event it was takin off bcause they needed it for evidence and hook didnt now there was a recorder

  • this is 100% totally absolutely the truth. i'm surprised the courts let it stay up for so long.

  • I've seen this with sound and it wasn't bad at all. Nice job. In a way you feel bad for the hook.

  • omgshhh!! This was such an awesome film, stupid youtube! Now there is no sound =(

  • fucking copyright shit

  • OMG Curse u YouTube this is an amzing short film and I cant enjoy it any more.

  • Please edit it with music that they'll let you use and post it back up.

  • did you use after effects? it looks like it. this was really good but it could have been a little better of course. i think that the music in some parts could have been a little better and during that accidental death, instead of muting it it should have had a soft sound with some reverb

  • this was awesome this shows another side of the story, but there was one thing that made me a little confusede, why would a teenage girl be on the side of a rural road playing with a little kid ball?

  • cool what editing thing you use?

  • Well if they used a mac computer than it's most likley Final Cut, for Windows it would probably be Adobe Premire

  • Very good story line

  • This one goes behind the scenes, they made him out to be innocent.

  • omg! I saw this in 2006 i'm glad you brought it to youtube, i've been looking ALL OVER FOR IT! THANK YOU!!!!

  • How did you get your film to look so good. It does not seem to have that video look most dvx100 have. Did you do something in editing?

  • it was nicely done but there are too many questions left unanswered...why was he in a clinic? why did he only have 1 hand? why a hook and not something safer?

  • OMG alsome, what camera & editing program do you use..???? i wish to be as good as this on day (in video making)

  • Uwaah~ I loved it! Normally movies make us scared of the hook, but your video made me sympathize for him. =(

    Bravo~ ^^

  • dam most download..in finland we have only writed version

  • omg that was really good i liked it alot

  • super 5+

  • I WAS TERRIFIED!!! Brilliant! Top Stuff

  • EXCELENT!

  • impressive filming! post the shell stuff

  • Wow. Very cool.

  • In the begin, why are they screaming?

  • They started the beginning of the movie by showing the end of the movie, apparently when the hook was found.

    I really like the music.

  • because the story goes like this:

a couple were making out in a parking lot and a radio report said that a man from the asylum with a hook as his hand had escaped.

so the couple got scared, argued and decided to drive back.when they were back they saw a bloody hook on the door.scary huh?

  • sad. but i liked it

  • hehe i lol'ed

  • I liked it but it was very sad.

  • beautiful filming!

  • Ah, so it's about how the urban legend might have gotten started, I get it. Only thing is, Daniel's hook didn't look sharp enough to cut anyone. Not like Lou's from the David Naylor film...I'd like to see a "hook urban legend" film about him, that could be really interesting!;)

  • Omg... so sad. :( 10/10.

  • i liked it

  • he's wearing all white, and sitting on the ground? wtf

  • that was an amazing retelling of that urban legend. i've heard it hundreds of times since i was a kid, and never once did i think that i could feel for the killer.

    nice work!

  • and how did he cut his neck?

  • Very nice work!

  • OH,wait his hook hand must have,ok

  • hey i jst looked at ur film and it is rly good and i want analyse it as part of my uni course im doin, any chance of gettin a copy

  • Wow so nicely done. hope we'll get to see your work on the big screen someday.

  • wow poor guy, nice vid.

  • Brilliant. The vehicles and clothing really helped to set the time period as well.

  • Oh wait i've not seen this version, i saw a different one, on and the random person i just replyed to...not meant to be a reply, i'm in the process of still watching it, i precommented, and my computer takes forever to load so i don't wanna refresh rofl, sorry about that cecil366 for taking advantage of your comment thing

  • very good!

  • This ain't no cheap short, done by amateurs. You can tell IMMEDIATELY on the opening shot that this guy knows his stuff. Great art work, my friend.

  • WOW! Nicely done. Excellent cinematography!

    ~Eddie Uehara

  • One of the best short films I've seen.

  • fuck this picture is amazing!!!!

  • what a greaat shots

  • This is totally awesome!

  • wish the hook wasn't wearing glasses and dressed like a geek

  • So it was the little girl's fault

    Asshole !

  • A great take on the tale, and for people saying its not how I remember it well if he done it how you and I remember it, it would only be 2 minutes long this is great!

  • very cool take on the story spot on!

  • this wasn't the version i'm used but it was really good i think you guys are on to something. keep it up

  • this was really really good

    good job

    keep up the good work

  • crap, story completely wrong, this should be taken off line, remade and put back ASAP!!!!!!

  • That was really good, aw that is so sad. The story version I hear is like different but not really.

  • wota load of old S***

  • I remember the boy getting out and not coming back and the girl hears finger nails on the roof of the car all night and in the morning a cop finds her and she sees her boyfriend hung over the car

  • I thought the Hook was the one where they argue and the boy sees the guy over her shoulder, and they drive away. When she gets out of the car, she looks back and the hook is hanging on the door of the car.

  • very good video for such a low budget especially.. thats not how i remember the tale though...

  • Damn man, my bad! lol

  • "Hook-Em" Danno! lol

  • Why wouldnt he use his hand to pull the grapes off the stem?

  • ok i cryed

  • wow that was really good and really sad as well poor bloke. for a low budget that was really well done

    *****

  • OMG great job great filming! make an other one

  • Great acting. Ow that sounded like it really hurt when the hook you know ow.

  • this shit was really good... not really that acary...but it was just really good

  • So sad.

  • Wow! $150? Nicely directed and every shot was interesting and well framed. Jon Hayes squeezed every bit of production value out of that camera; well done. Beats my $150 film "Roommate: Wanted" I shot it on a Sony trv950 check it out if you like... Anyway, overall, technically nice work. the story didn't really grab me but the actors helped. Good luck on your next project.

  • ^^ Oh wow, this was super well done for such a low budget. Great story, great acting, *sniff* I actually started crying near the end! I felt so bad...

  • hey lovers lane.....i live like 1 or 2 streets from lavers lane....creepy

  • god, that was awesome!

  • that was a good one! I like the quality of your image !!! And the acting is good too!:)

  • GAY!

  • wow. I'm buying a cam like that with my next newspaperout check.

  • Pabts blue ribbon beer FTW!

  • exelent! great new twist on a classic urban legand. well done!

  • Oh My God!That was so sad.....I cried...

  • same

  • Oh my God, this video was done really well! It was like watching a real movie.

  • I heard the same story, but the hook was on his foot.

  • I love the visuals.

  • Hey Horror Fans Check Out My 1st Horror Vid Blood And Gore. BUT NOTHING COPARES TO YOUR HOOK MANG!!!

  • good spin on the story

  • aw that was sad :[

  • i luved it, like i was watchin a real film nice work

  • Preeeeeeeetty Good. Like the scream! How many rehearsals did that take?

  • my letter o doesnt work copy pasting is very ann0ying great vid bwt;)

  • I need to know how long it took to edit and how much you spent

  • I tell you 3 weeks and $150

  • Thats not bad at all... what kinda cam did you use and what to edit?

  • Loveit, music - acting - lighting etc, 10/10

  • liked the way his h00k m0ved...nice m0vie....gd acting

  • more O's should be replaced with 0, except when it is gd

  • the real story is a couple are making out, and then they hear a serial killer had just broken out of the state jail. then the couple realize that they are close to the state jail. then the girl gets scared, and asks to go home. so her boyfriend takes her home and she gets out of the car, when he closes the door, there is a big rusty hook jammed in the door. WHATS WITH THE MIDDLE PART! THE BEGGING AND ENDING EXPLAIN THE WHOLE STORY!

  • yeah, the begging was pr0bably the best part, th0ugh s0me reas0n its really the end even th0ugh its at the begging

  • pretty good, awesome acting. but why did you put the end at the begining? that was kinda gay.

  • yeah, the beginning tried making out with me last night at a party. i've feared he's been a homo for a while.

  • and that's why people should buckle up =]

  • It brings a whole new perspective to the whole legend. I was kinda confused about the whole beginning though. What did the couple see that night? I saw something that looked like a heart, but it coulda been anything.

  • The majority of it is shot Really well. The story gives a feeling of a comedy, black comedy - just not a witty/funny one, one that didn't work out. I guess, what adds to this impression are lighting at some parts (second half) and acting (in dramatic scenes), also a bit cheesy soundtrack of the 'forest scene'. Oh, and at the very begging - presentation of the film's name, with cartoon blood - purely black comedy feature.

  • I like it but the concern I have is why she looked over to the hook early? I mean I loved it other than that. I hope that you guys can do more. Where is this SIU? I heard of Southern Illonois University but I dont know if this is the one.

  • Was this done by university students or something cause its not half bad

  • That wasn't scary, just really sad. You should have had him kill some people instead of be this innocently acused loser. I wouldn't consider this a horror film, but still great job!

  • why did the lady scream in the beggining?

  • Apparently she say a dead body or something weak like that

  • Haha did that one guy said he had a ninja sword? It was cool though, I actually got freaked out.

  • Acting 3/5

    Filmography 5/5

    Story Line 4.5/5

I thought overall you did a great job!

  • That was interesting. The hook-handed psycho was just misunderstood all along.

  • i give it 5/5 for a short film

  • The origins of the urdan myth about the hook came from the murders of several young couples killed by the Zodiac kill back in the 1950 - 1960s. As we all know when people tells stories facts often get mixed up or lost

  • wow... this guy was not having a good day lol

  • wtf this isnt how the legend goes... i mean i like the movie and all but this isnt it.. the hook is a phsyco path not some good guy.. it wouild have been better if u made this movie about him escaping and then hunting down those kids.

  • We purposely deviated from the original story to mix things up a bit... maybe its "the true story" the urban legend came from.

  • wow i have never heard this myth before but this is an amazing film and really sad and it was made on only $150 i am definately impressed!!!

  • What software did you use to edit/credits? Premier and After Effects?

Also, any additional audio/mic devices used?

  • wow. im really impressed!

  • very impressive,

the story was great, and the photage,

it would be awsome as a full length film

  • A little corny, but still awesome! The other side of the story...Great work!

  • poor handless hooky dude

  • I give it two thumbs up! well done!

  • omg thats how it ends!?!!

  • Oh my god that was depressing

  • Aww, I felt bad for the guy with the hook.

  • thats the best short ive ever seen.

i feel sorry for the guy with the hooked hand, he was proboblly trying to get a ride. i dont think he wanted to hurt anyone. First his mom, then his brother, and then he feels like an outcast to society. Thats sad.

  • Haha. I love how a man in a suit drives an old VW bus... and how there's like a 17 year old girl playing with an inflatable ball on the side of some rural road. Good short :) Alot better than any of the attempts I've made with my DVX.

  • The original idea for the van accident was just a piece of roadkill in the road... probably would have been even worse. That girl was actually 20 years old! Our child actor dropped out at the last moment and a friend filled in even though it wasn't ideal. I would do things alot differently if I did it all over again, but being my first short I'm not too disappointed in it.

  • Awesome, dude! It turned out super good for being a first. I would have never guessed. My first was so bad it wasn't ever even cut together :) hehe

  • I agree, that was awesome. I've never heard a story of the person with the hook before, much less one where he's humanized so.

  • niceeeeee!!!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaawesome

  • awesome

  • wow that was amazing

  • that was breathe taking

  • WOW, that was amazing!!
