I like this but I don't get it. That thing is SO small it fits in your hands. I mean, are you using 45rpm records ? Where do you put the record, does it load like a CD and there's an eject button or something ?

I didn't mean a touchpad.. I meant to trigger the synthesis and modulations externally.  You can turn a laptop touchpad into an x/y if need be.

The Kaossilator pro has midi in/out, so I'll just have to save more money.

@Falkon303 the midi in outs on the kaosillator pro will not let you play the sounds externally via keyboard. you can send XY pad data to control software, just like the kp3 and of course midi time clock sync but no way to play the sounds from a keyboard. sorry.

If your looking for a synth-type-thing, then yes get this. If you are looking for an overall music tool get the kp3 (Kaoss Pad 3)

I don't have either right now but I know I am getting the Kp3 this christmas and maybe the kaossilator too. Any way I can't wait. :]

yeah kp3 and kaossilator are totally different. KP3 = FX, Kaossilator = Synth. im actually kinda sad that the kp3 doesn't have all the same synths, that would be too cool.

don't give away all the good secrets... just showing some techniques.

you can make way better scratching than that.

use sounds 35-42, set your key a couple octaves up, then you have the option of brushing the pad, while also being able to use the method you speak of....how about this. hold down tempo and rec before turning it on. 16beat, destructive looping.

stupid built in isight on my powerbook records backwards into photobooth so that it looks like a mirror. i didn't feel like loading final cut and flipping everything. the handwritten sign at the beginning is all backwards in real life.
