They dont remove the heart i dont think..
they keep it in the body because they believe it continues into the afterlife..
which means there heart can be weighed and they may or maynot be allowed entrence to the Fields of Hetep and Iaru.
but i think this is awsome :)
i showed my ancient hostory teacher and she loved it :)

They actually did not remove the heart, they kept it for the god to weigh it with the feather of good deeds. Cool Claymation though!
