There's a MAJOR mistake on Heroes. Concerning Peter's powers taken away by Arthur. That could have never happened. They would have stolen each other's powers infinitely, the final result would be a mutual cancellation or some sort of immunity (Like when Parkmann tries to control Peter's mind, and he can't).

That reminds me of the debate of whether Peter can mimic The Haitian mental manipulation ability. Would it cancel out Peters own ability thus leaving him powerless if he tried? @_@

Peter can't mimic the haitian's ability. Once near the haitian, Peter can't use his powers, therefore can't mimic. But Peter could K.O. the haitian without abilities, simply as a normal human -in the fist- and then Peter could open the haitian's head and use Sylar's ability to obtain the Haitian's ability.

That way, Peter would leave everyone around him powerless and would become the strongest of all. Invencible.

The power manifests in different times for all of them:Think of the time when Nathan and Heidi had that crash and he flew up without control,he even denied to himself he ever did.Back then,Peter had have a premonitory dream already.Like 1heartless1 said: when the eclipse occurred they came aware of them.Tracy might have had the 1st manifestation of hers this time,and after this eclipse she'll be in full capacity to master it. The thing is Nate and Tracy are synthetically evolved. Their triggers were brought on through heightened states of emotion: i.e. the car accident and the reporter, respectively.

In respect to Peter, I thought his mimcry occured after the eclipse. I mean, his mimcry was always active absorbing the templates of other evolved humans like his mom, but didn't materialize until after the eclipse... I could be wrong, it's been awhile since the pilot.

Peter Petrelli was having dreams BEFORE the Eclipse. He attain the premontion ability from his mom, possibly at birth? But the point is his powers started manifesting before the eclipse occured.

I think the eclipse is sort of a catalyst for naturally evolved humans: it triggers the genetic code to activate their abilities. Those with synthetic abilities are triggered through heightened sense of emotion: Tracy with the reporter, Nate with the car accident, and Mohinder with the thug-bashing.

I really don't know; Heroes is one of the rare shows that only bill the principals on the episode they appear. It is a possibility she was reduced to a recurring cast instead of a principal, but considering the eclipse, she might get her powers back. Maya was one of the naturally evolved humans.

Arthur's ability is to absorb the templates of evolved humans: that would explain his telepathy. The source could be any number of individuals. Most likely, the source will be revealed in one of the graphic novels.

I think rare isn't exclusive to the Petrelli family: Angela's precognition is similiar to the other precogs, however her medium to translate that precognition is different. A part of me believes that Angela isn't purely a precog, but possesses other mental abilities that allows it.

As for Peter, it was a variation of his father's powers. What's noticable in the Petrelli family [and this includes Gabriel], the ones that developed their abilities naturally have an aptitude for mental abilities: precognition, intuitive aptitude and mental-logistics, empathic mimcry.. Even with absorbed templates, the preference was telepathy and telekinesis.

I think the Petrelli family possesses great mental fortitude.
