I actually have no idea what you say to this. I just... This song is just... Oh my fucking god. It is just perfect, every single element is completely glorious. That was just impossible. I had seen Fairyland on YouTube, listened and thought yeah that's pretty decent and never listened to it again. Holy crap, this is awesome. I got their first two albums (at least under the Fairyland name). I loved "Of Wars In Osyrhia" - very symphonic, epic and speedtastic. "The Fall Of An Empire" was definitely a departure, but grew on me. This seems to take the epicness to a new level. I'm gonna have to pick this up.

Holy shit. I've never gotten into Fairyland because their music seemed pretty weak in the beginning and I wasn't a fan of the female singer... but this has to be one of my favorite power metal songs ever. It has the magic of Tuatha de Dannan's "Bella Natura" with feeling of older Dreamtale and Power Quest. Love it.

Those are about the ONLY songs I like from this band, because even when the melodies are good, they tend to be let down by the stupid chorus; not because of a poor melody, but because the choir they have singing it is dull.

@fairyphil Holy cow! I had no idea that you were-- so um, yeah. If you're taking suggestions, then when the chorus plays, have a lead singer singing over the chorus, instead of just the monotone background singers.

Maybe alternate, if you're intent on having just those background vocalists: Have the lead singer sing over the background vocalists on one or two of the choruses or something, or maybe for the finale.

I think giving a genre to specific metal is VERY important.

Why? 1st: because when you talk about the music to someone that doesnt know the band and you tell them its power metal with female vocals people IMMEDIATELY get an idea of what it is (unless they are ignorant on genres ofc). 2nd: Its good to categorize because you can then easily find another band which plays the same kind of music.

@Thelordbaphomet Although genres are good in principle, they can be bad because it tends to put bands into a box. I like progressive, neo-classical AND folk influences in my power metal. As long as it doesn't get too progressive, or sacrifice heaviness for the folk influences.

Genres and subgenres are fun to learn and they are great to use, but for people who deny their use will get a hard time finding other bands like the ones they like. But hey, don't have to be EXACT about all the influences
