That chain had over 60k miles on it, and for the last 15k it had an aditional 30 or so horsepower turning it, due to an engine change. We also found that the front sprocket was .030 out of alignment, which may have contributed to the failure as well.-Barnstorm Cycles

Just a couple of questions

1 How hard do you ride your bike?

2 How often do you change your primary oil

3 How often do you check primary drive chain tension

I ask these questions because i have never heard of this chain snapping in my life and most people saying they get about 50.000 miles out of their chains

We think the chain may have been damaged and not noticed during an earlier breakdown caused by a loose nut in the primary.

Really?? I have a 1992 FXRS and have not had that issue. Did yu find out why it is doing that?
