I liked the parts with Shredder and Krang (though man, '87 Shredder's voice is not very good), but that's mostly because I can't help but think of the original cartoon Shredder as sort of a total joke and Krang as his sarcastic boss. I find it offensive how dumb they made the original Turtles in this. Sure, the show didn't take itself as seriously, but it was also way better off for it, because it actually focused on things like dialogue and plotline. From what I've seen of these new turtles, it's just trying way too hard to be badass and shiny while lacking all creativity, storyline and any sense of humor whatsoever. In other words, it's just like every other crappy "action-packed" cartoon out today.

In the old show, the turtles had more distinct individual personalities much like they do in the 2003 show. In this they're all given the same jokey clown personality.
Leonardo was always the serious leader, Donatello was the nerdy genius, Raphael was a sarcastic, hotheaded rogue, and Michaelangelo was a stereotypical surfer-eque clown. It's a shame to see them blurred into one and the same here. The concept of this show, and the general effort however is really good!
LOL, you haven't seen the 1987 series have you? In that series, Raphael wasn't the angry bruit we now, but he was more along the lines of being funny and sarcastic. He would constantly break the fourth wall by talking to the audience. Hence, when he looks at the screen, they wonder who he is talking to.
@FarhanC99 as far as the 1987 show goes, the turltes cartoon broke the fourth wall alot by constants making jokes to the viewers at home and basically was very corny. So when han said turtle filth, ralph commented to the viewers by saying its not true we shower regularly. The 2003 characters were then confused as to who he was talking to because they dont see the "audience".
Usually something like this you'd expect to be bad but this crossover is seamless. the whole breaking the 4 wall bit that was so popular back then doesn't make sense to none of the new characters, they're looking around like who is he talking to? It's awesome.
I must say that the 80's turtles are denegraded way too much here. Michaelangelo and Raphael to an extent were slapstic (Mike was fun loving whilst Raph was sarcastic), but Don and Leo were allot more subdued and were the ones that usually drove the two others...

The line "We resemeble that remark" is from the episode "Raphael Knocks 'em Dead" which also has the equivelant of a giggle ray.
Donatello using a wrench as a hammer is from "Leonardo Lightens Up"
The machine that Bebop and Rocksteady use is the scent analyzer from "Beware of the Lotus".

In the old show, the turtles had more distinct individual personalities much like they do in the 2003 show. In this they're all given the same jokey clown personality.
Leonardo was always the serious leader, Donatello was the nerdy genius, Raphael was a sarcastic, hotheaded rogue, and Michaelangelo was a stereotypical surfer-eque clown. It's a shame to see them blurred into one and the same here. The concept of this show, and the general effort however is really good!

LOL, you haven't seen the 1987 series have you? In that series, Raphael wasn't the angry bruit we now, but he was more along the lines of being funny and sarcastic. He would constantly break the fourth wall by talking to the audience. Hence, when he looks at the screen, they wonder who he is talking to.

@FarhanC99 as far as the 1987 show goes, the turltes cartoon broke the fourth wall alot by constants making jokes to the viewers at home and basically was very corny. So when han said turtle filth, ralph commented to the viewers by saying its not true we shower regularly. The 2003 characters were then confused as to who he was talking to because they dont see the "audience".

Usually something like this you'd expect to be bad but this crossover is seamless. the whole breaking the 4 wall bit that was so popular back then doesn't make sense to none of the new characters, they're looking around like who is he talking to? It's awesome.

I must say that the 80's turtles are denegraded way too much here. Michaelangelo and Raphael to an extent were slapstic (Mike was fun loving whilst Raph was sarcastic), but Don and Leo were allot more subdued and were the ones that usually drove the two others...
Despite this, I love, love LOVE this movie!

The best shredder is the one in the first few seasons of the 1987 cartoon. A good mixture of incompetence and actual skill and intelligence. I dislike any version who tip the balance in any of the two direction.
