people really need to read more books on the Grind, it is a traditional community binding act. I was in Sandoy during a summer the entire community are involved children , men women. everybody gets an equal share of the meat and none is wasted. I can understand hunting the whales hundreds of years ago for food due to scarce resources at the time, but this butchering is beyond belief. There's no excuse for such barbaric behaviour in today's civilised world, regardless if they aren't endangered animals. Human sacrifices used to be an 'old tradition'. Should they still be allowed because it's an aged old custom and it's a part of our history and who we are? Your children will look back in horror and be ashamed of you for years to come.

@JewelLotus01 You now it's killed around 300.000 whales and dolphins by misstake, colateral damage, annualy by the fishing industry, and their meat is not taken care of.... the faroese hunt and kill around 500-1000 every year and take all the meat... out of a whale population of 1.3 million... and then it's a tradition since they moved their from norway a thousand years ago... but of course they should stop doing that just becuse you think that these 500 whales are special.
