I totally understand what their goal was. They favor the game mechanics (note, not even gameplay, the game mechanics) over the lore. They can change it as they want, but don't expect people who cared about WC lore to like all the stuff they fucked to the shit in WoW.

The Night Elves are usually just fixing the problems in Kalimdor, they not usually doing much in the Eastern Kingdoms, and they control what happens in their city, same as the Draenei. The Worgen are staying in Darnassus, not Stormwind.

@applegeek18 Darkshore is right next to the Night Elves capital Darnassus. Not guarded. And unlike the Horde, the alliance doesn't have a leading race, some people think Humans are leading race, but they actually not. There is no main Alliance army, there is the Kalimdor half of the Alliance, and the Eastern Kingdoms half of the Alliance, especially cause there are 3 Alliance races on each continent. The Elves are an old, mystical race, the Humans are a young, industrial race, huge difference.
@applegeek18 The Horde have been attacking Ashenvale for years, of course the Elves are gonna fight back, I seen the Ashenvale Skirmishers attacking the guards to the Barrens (Makes me think, why are there no Night Elves guarding Darkshore like there are Horde guarding The Barrens?), but mostly the Elves that are attacking the Horde I seen in Stonetalon Mountains, and apparently Feralas has more of a Night Elf presence than a Horde presence now.
@applegeek18 I didn't mean lorewise in that way, Night Elves are naturally immortal, I know they lost it, but Orcs never had it. Thrall is holding the whirlpool in the middle of the ocean, which is why players can get into the zone with the stone people, Malfurion is holding up the tornado in Darkshore, keeping it from destroying the entire zone. The Night Elves managed to stop the majority of the Horde from getting into ashenvale for years, at first by themselves. Horde still anywhere at all.

And Berserking for Trolls most definitely translates into a race based dps advantage compared to NE's Shadowmeld, at least in a raiding environment where fights last 3 minutes+ on a fairly regular basis.

To make this even more clear : I don't care about which race is the "most powerful" or the lore behind anyone's reasoning why race x is better than race y. I was talking about game mechanics and racials, nothing more and nothing less.

It *does* mean more dps if you compare NE to trolls; say a NE shadowpriest and a Troll shadowpriest. Or a NE rogue and Troll rogue. Feel free to check the usual sources, e.g. EJ and WOL; the numbers don't lie.
@deusx4 If you say so, I still prefer Night Elves over Trolls though, shadowmeld can be pretty useful if you know how to use it. And tbh, dps isnt everything, I never knew any of the races had a dps boosting buff ability before at all but meh, maybe one of them does but i still prefer night elves, i think they look better and they cooler and stuff but that just my opinion.

And if goblins have superior technology to the gnomes, why does it always blows up? Blizzard said themselves that gnomes have better technology.

@sparx0xraps The orcs shouldn't be thought of like that That and their home city is garbage (but frankly all Alliance cities are), and their starting zone is the worst (and the #1 reason why I hate Alliance). Agility CAN be greater, just like strength can. If you are strong enough, one hit and then you will effectively win, agile enough, one hit won't happen. Things like that are difficult and it all in the end boils down to numbers (Korean war, anyone?). I like the Undead (not just forsaken).
@AspectofTimeNozdormu Well it's their appearance, so anyone who not played the game before will see Orcs in that way, and some of them ARE like that, Garrosh is an example. Durotar is a dry zone and would probably be very boring for leveling in, but I loved Teldrassil and the Night Elf zones when I was leveling in them, and Darnassus looks awesome, I rather set my HS there any day, portals or not. And sure agility isn't the only thing, but I rather play as agility than strength.

I been to everywhere you can get to in the game, including Silvermoon, and I still like the Night Elf trees best, they tall and huge and it makes the zone feel different, like your part of it. I dunno why you would like Durotar though, it's dusty looking red and the road is cracked, even the Barrens looks better imo.

I like deserts and canyons, giant ass ugly and blandly colored (ugly brown, dark green, and ugly purple) forests. Hell my favorite zone is Hellfire Peninsula. The Barrens also looks really cool. Teldrasil on the other hand, looks dull, it has some nice buildings, but that's it.

I never seen any green tree trunks anywhere. And the trees look awesome.

@sparx0xraps If by looks similar you mean has trees then yes. But Teldrasil has lame trees and flat, brown grass, whereas Ashenvale is a little more... vibrant.

There is no main Alliance army, there is the Kalimdor half of the Alliance, and the Eastern Kingdoms half of the Alliance, especially cause there are 3 Alliance races on each continent. The Elves are an old, mystical race, the Humans are a young, industrial race, huge difference.

@applegeek18 The Horde have been attacking Ashenvale for years, of course the Elves are gonna fight back, I seen the Ashenvale Skirmishers attacking the guards to the Barrens (Makes me think, why are there no Night Elves guarding Darkshore like there are Horde guarding The Barrens?), but mostly the Elves that are attacking the Horde I seen in Stonetalon Mountains, and apparently Feralas has more of a Night Elf presence than a Horde presence now.

@applegeek18 I didn't mean lorewise in that way, Night Elves are naturally immortal, I know they lost it, but Orcs never had it. Thrall is holding the whirlpool in the middle of the ocean, which is why players can get into the zone with the stone people, Malfurion is holding up the tornado in Darkshore, keeping it from destroying the entire zone. The Night Elves managed to stop the majority of the Horde from getting into ashenvale for years, at first by themselves. Horde still anywhere at all.

And Berserking for Trolls most definitely translates into a race based dps advantage compared to NE's Shadowmeld, at least in a raiding environment where fights last 3 minutes+ on a fairly regular basis.

It *does* mean more dps if you compare NE to trolls; say a NE shadowpriest and a Troll shadowpriest. Or a NE rogue and Troll rogue. Feel free to check the usual sources, e.g. EJ and WOL; the numbers don't lie.

And tbh, dps isnt everything, I never knew any of the races had a dps boosting buff ability before at all but meh, maybe one of them does but i still prefer night elves, i think they look better and they cooler and stuff but that just my opinion.

Anyway there are a lot more Goblins than Gnomes in Kalimdor, the majority of the Horde attacking Ashenvale and yet the Night Elves and some Worgen and Draenei still managed to keep Ashenvale and Darkshore, with Trolls attacking from the north and Orcs attacking from the south. We also have more places in Stonetalon, Desolace and Feralas.

@sparx0xraps The orcs shouldn't be thought of like that That and their home city is garbage (but frankly all Alliance cities are), and their starting zone is the worst (and the #1 reason why I hate Alliance). Agility CAN be greater, just like strength can. If you are strong enough, one hit and then you will effectively win, agile enough, one hit won't happen. Things like that are difficult and it all in the end boils down to numbers (Korean war, anyone?). I like the Undead (not just forsaken).

@AspectofTimeNozdormu Well it's their appearance, so anyone who not played the game before will see Orcs in that way, and some of them ARE like that, Garrosh is an example. Durotar is a dry zone and would probably be very boring for leveling in, but I loved Teldrassil and the Night Elf zones when I was leveling in them, and Darnassus looks awesome, I rather set my HS there any day, portals or not. And sure agility isn't the only thing, but I rather play as agility than strength.

I been to everywhere you can get to in the game, including Silvermoon, and I still like the Night Elf trees best, they tall and huge and it makes the zone feel different, like your part of it. I dunno why you would like Durotar though, it's dusty looking red and the road is cracked, even the Barrens looks better imo.

I like deserts and canyons, giant ass ugly and blandly colored (ugly brown, dark green, and ugly purple) forests. Hell my favorite zone is Hellfire Peninsula. The Barrens also looks really cool. Teldrasil on the other hand, looks dull, it has some nice buildings, but that's it.

Durotar is bright red, and has a cracked road, I dunno how it could be different from plain and dry. The parts of Ashenvale that are brown are either the Orcs lumber camps or corruped by demons or whatever. Though if you talking about the tree trunks, most tree trunks are brown. I never seen any green tree trunks anywhere. And the trees look awesome.

Orgrimmar is a desert city, it looks worse than shit, Night Elves at least have trees, and I don't get how they are ugly, Night elves are protectors of nature, so maybe that's why the problems they have is usually corruption of nature?
