Thanks for the upload. Remember it from Fangoria magazine back in the day where the tagline was something like "Not all extra terrestrials are friendly." First time seeing it--definitely not what I expected, but not too bad. For a much better film with exploding eggs I HIGHLY recommend Luigi Cozzi's (Alien) Contamination. Awesome sci-fi/horror flick.
Classic film! Really of it's time with the music and effects. I remember reading 2000ad as a kid and the previewed this and E.T. in the same issue. Well I got to see E.T but I don't think they realised that Xtro wasn't gonna be a kid's film! It was only years later I got to see it and I still think it's great.
"hello, I am the producer of this film, I hope you enjoyed it. I thought you might be interested to know we opted towards maximum originality for this one, so I had the clever, I think, idea of hiring a nice fellow with lodgings in the local mental institution to write the script. he did so while chained to his bed, the smell of excrement filling his room while he was on the job. only you have to realize, to him this is straghtforward social drama with autobiographical references..."
Thanks" so much for putting this piece up..I really enjoyed this and to be truthful I have never seen this before..It was very creepy and fun to watch..it's to bad not to many people get into these types of movies like this..but yeah thanks for putting this up excellent movie..you got good taste..
I watched "Lifeforce" and I guess it had something to do with Michael Gothard's suicide. Starring in a horror B-movie after an appearance in a Bond movie seems to be deadly. However, a B-movie before a Bond one seems to be great: Maryam d'Abo who looks quite miserable here went forward to "The Living Daylights" and Robby Coltrane who appeared in "Krull" (a great B-movie) advanced very well, and apperaed in two Bonds. Any others ?
well..............I remember when this came out in the theaters back in "83, I was 16, and I wanted to see it BAD!!!!! Here it is 27 years later and I have finally seen it. What was I thinking?????
Well, maybe ... I don't know. But I don't care either. I love cheapo films like this, when they deliver - and this did. Very imaginative fx scenes, strung together with a story that never quite made sense. A glorious mess.

They sure pushed the envelope with this movie.
It's a Brit flick though and for the early 80s it's kinda cool.
Sci-fi horror you might say...
