Secondly, Socialism is not the same as the totalitarian Communist regimes of the Soviet Union, China, and North Korea. Socialism is a political and economic theory that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community. In no way at all does that make it evil or wrong. Socialism is compatible with democracy and capitalism as it does not advocate a totalitarian system.

They had to assimilate into the American way of life or they were not accepted into the states and sent back to where they came from.
