The problem with Labrie is that he doesn't understand his limitations. He was a talented vocalist up until about 1994 or 95. Since then, his voice and tone are far too thin and he can't keep up. He is constantly off-key in live performances and way over-mixed and redubbed in their albums. Petrucci, Myung, Rudess, and prior to his departure Portnoy, got better (or at least more refined though perhaps less creative) over time and their albums reflect that. Labrie is DT's downfall.

@badamrak I disagree. Listen to Peruvian Skies from the High Voltage 2011 performance, he kills it. Definitely not their downfall as they sound incredible on the new album. He is one of few men who could hold their own with the rest of the band and I frankly don't want anyone else singing for my DT.

@MHeisler777 This DVD is like a movie itself, in fact all of DT's DVDs are, but for this one it's kinda like a movie with scenes in them, for example the scenes in Beyond This Life are also seen on the Live At Budokan DVD and the Finally Free scenes are also on the Chaos In Motion DVD but with no sound effects, I think they might be censored.

I had someone else's copy of I&W in my disc man, so I listened to it in the car, and then one day it hit me. these guys are really good! so I checked them out on utube, saw this vid, showed it to a friend, and 20 days later we're at the best gig I've ever been to. hardly new the songs, I couldn't have enjoyed it less! 6/16/09 was awesome!
