  • You ramble too much.

  • Looks like he guy doesn't know about chess, but I appreciate the contribution for cosily watching some top-class game while eating lunch at the sofa :)

  • Shirov's head got pawnd for 240 gold!

  • Anand plays very well as black.

  • What did you end up finding when you looked up the king move on the computer?

  • 20:08 -Rg4 could have been met with f7+ and I think White is not bad after that...!

  • @mohakmehta oh

  • @ChessNetwork I play the caro kann religiously and in my opinion you did a good job analyzing this video. The good bishop vs bad bishop in the caro kann was quite logical to me, and I don't know why some people said you didn't explain this correctly.

  • @ChessNetwork some people just don't know how to appreciate other people's efforts in showing an analysis of a game... much better not minding these stupid guys.....you did an excellent job....works pretty well for me in understanding the logic of the moves, thanks to you.....some people just criticize...i bet they don't even know how to create such video analysis on their own....great job btw.

  • @ChessNetwork This might be the single best response to a hater. One paragraph of whining put down with two letters xD

  • @mohakmehta Yes thats why I disliked video.

  • Knight in the corner's a horror

  • Are you sick in this video? Your voice...... also knights at the corners are goners.

  • @misteratoz Nope. Wasn't sick.

  • Are you sick in this video? Your voice...... also knights at the corners are gonners.

  • Knight on the rim is grim, knights in the corner isn't any smarter!

  • Great analysis, especially at 14.30 when the king was moved to F4- interesting game to watch as well. Mike.

  • @mikeypinder Thanks Mike. :)

  • Thanks for your great analysis. Keep up the good work.

  • @dumpnchase You're welcome dNc :)

  • Thank you, Jerry!

  • @barsorrro Welcome barsorrro. :)

  • awesome, love your commentary !

  • Jerry what if at 15:20 , after Nxh4...Rh1 is played.....isnt one of the knights lost????

  • Comment removed

  • @ChessNetwork At 15:08 why Ne7-f5? Why not Nh6-f5 to get the knight away from the rim of the board? I enjoyed your video greatly by the way, it was very instructive.

  • @FearDeniesFate Likely so that there could be tactics in the form of Nxg in the event of g4.

  • Thanks Jerry! Excellent analysis again!

  • @71guitardude Thank you. :)

  • What is the result of the game?

  • @atanask8 Black wins

  • @ChessNetwork

    Thanks!

  • Very strong play from Anand, resisting the grab of the b2-pawn and suddenly going into top gear with f6.

  • These game analyses are always appreciated. Good work

  • I really like it that you explain all the moves, including the opening moves. So many other youtube video makers just announce the moves and the pieces flash by me until move 10. You're the best!

  • Great video, very instructive comments. Thanks!

  • Knights in the corner are mourners ;)

  • Good job again on the video!

  • Knights in the corners are scorners.

  • what a match - Shirov is a phantastic player - no doubt - but against Anand - little chance. The overall record Viswanathan Anand beat Alexey Shirov 32 to 6, with 51 draws

  • awesome video i recently just started playing teh kann, and i learned a lot from this video

  • Thanks for the vid.

  • A knight in the corner is a foreigner? :P

  • in 4:45 the black queen would be attacked by the white bishop(near the white king)

  • Thanks you for commenting on the choice of rooks! I was thinking "why that one!" inside my own head as the move was made.

  • Thank you Jerry for the video. Great analysis, very interesting. Please keep it up!

  • knights on the corner, youre gonna be a mourner

  • Re Ra8c8. There's a rule, I can't remember the name of the master who promulgated it, that when there is no attack to be pursued or defended then improve the position of your worst placed piece, in this case the rook on a8. Whether or not Anand had that in mind it's always worth thinking about.

  • I just want to congratulate you on a job well done.

  • Thanks so much for this! Keep doing these deep analysis on the openings, how not to trap your pieces etc. I play the Caro-Kann a lot, and I didnt know about the three pawns capturing the bishop!

  • Getting ready for the World Chess Tourny in Phily at the end of this month, your videos are going to bring me back top prize in my section - I will probably be moving up to under 1700 after this one, thanks!

  • @mikemass84 Wow- Good luck!

  • the black pieces aren't black enough

  • Thanks Jerry. Love your consistent quality work.

  • @TriedToFartAndIhOh :D I have a tournament Thursday too. Are you going to the las Vegas chess festival???? :D

  • I have a tournament game on Thursday and I review your videos as part of my studying. Thanks Jerry! Keep it up!!!

  • @TriedToFartAndUhOh I hope you hear my annoying voice in your head in the tournament. Think twice, more once! :)

  • @ChessNetwork Jerry you should get CBlight as your interface , the same interface kingscrusher uses.

It has 3 different colors to highlight the squares and make arrows and you can also instantly engine-check positions.

  • The b2 pawn is called a poisoned pawn. This vid showed why. Nice job Jerry.

  • wow anand saw like 10 moves ahead in a rapid game....with all the variations wow! And probably with like 3minutes left

  • Your previous software was much better than this one. Please use the old one for the next video.

  • @geniusjas87 I know. Can't now.

  • @ChessNetwork I disagree , I like the new software.What is the new software?

  • I like how you always stay humble and not claim to know what GMs are thinking. I'm sure there would be several instances in this video where Anand would correct you. After all he's miles better than you. You on the other hand are miles better than me, and I REALLY love your videos, and I learn so much just from your approach of thinking about the game..

    Thanks for all your effort!

  • at 15:14 another good move if g4 is played is Nxg4 then Kxg4 is not good after Ne3 then killing the rook and Rc1

  • a knight in the corner, wants his life to be over

  • great stuff Jerry

  • At 19:48 Rd6#

  • I like the new board!

  • I would've said: Knights on the rim are grim; knights in the corner are poorer.

  • Great video Jerry! Have to agree with khalidcs911, more insight please, its fun! Keep 'em comin'.

  • Vishy's just too good.!

  • Nice a caro-kann game, my favorite opening against e4 :)

  • I've never felt the advance gives white any impressive chances against the Caro-Kann. In my experience 3.Nc3 is the only way to grind out an advantage.

  • very nice vid, thx for uploading, keep them coming!

  • wow Anand demolishes

  • "knights on the rim are grim, what are knights in the corner?" LOL

  • @scottriano asleep naked in the sauna

  • Very instrusctive and i hope you care less about the viewers so should be more relaxed when you give "insight about the proffesionals head in game" cuz that's what i am looking for more !!!

so feel free to give your openion on any thing lovly vid <3

  • Knights in the corner? Someone call the coroner!

  • @KingCrassusII That's so cheezy.

  • surprisingly anand played aggressive early and was going for the kill this time

  • Comment removed

  • Knights in the corner...go to the coroner!

  • thanks for the video! really enjoyed it!

  • Nice vid Jerry, I liked this vid, for two reasons, one, I love Vishy :D and two I am a huge fan of the Caro-Kann Defence :P Commentary was very insightful as always, keep 'em coming :P

  • what a great vid, Anand is a freakin genius when it comes to chess.

  • keep doing these videos man, they're very information

  • Loved the analysis, very detailed and well explained.

  • a knight in the corner is a mourner!

  • At 2:45 I'd instinctively play f6 as black. Would that be a mistake?

  • Great vid, slightly confused with all the variations. Still v. enjoyable. Love the way you make these high level games entertaining to begineers like myself with your detailed commentary. keep it up

  • Nice video man, keep up the great videos.

  • can you show chess games that have the "Lolli" opening? Thanks

  • what a nice sound in this video!

thanks again for these videos jerry :)

  • Rapid = 25 min + 10 sec/move?

  • Great video again Jerry!

  • :)

  • @cage... Ur such a loser
