  • more suitable from a gangster's dive

  • or is it

  • lapti nek insint in the moivie

  • Never shoulda made that digitally "enhanced" version.

  • This is so much better than what they did for the Special Editions. The version that has the Yazum, or whatever the hell he is, just sounds like Porno music.

  • way did the dancer open her math and got cole to oola?

  • OMG was that her screaming at 2:26 and 2:27? Sy Snootles has a loud voice :P really though I like Rystall.

  • @CarulornTarcona

According to the promo vinyl 45, "Sy Snootles" is performed by a Michelle Gruska. Never heard of her. And I'm not sure who provided the "weirder" voice from the actual movie version.

  • This was in the Laserdisc release in the Definite edition boxed set.

  • love the song and dance but i miss oola RIP

  • @tdifan12346

Oola isn't dead! LOL The character, yes.

However Yarna d'al' Gargan - the other dancer with 6 boobs - unfortunately passed away in the early 2000's (renal failure). She's was supposed to have been a "funny" and "raunchy" actress - would love to see what they're talking about.

  • still better than the special edition

anyone know where i can Download it

  • what is with the blue elephant plushie its just so cute why is he in jabbas i meen come on some of the freaks in there look worse than the crypt keeper or even dare i say it the vault keeper

  • @two2cool4you

It's because the band are slaves - as is Oola, Yarna and many others in the palace. They had no choice - but the band escaped Jabba's sail barge as it was going down.

  • They should had left this song in the remake. Way better than the new one.

  • Great music vid! Oola is HOT!!!

  • this is kinda creepy because its so vintage but i want this to be on tv

  • That dancers boob pops out in the scene when Jabba is yanking on her chain.

  • This was the music video version of the song. They used to play this on MTV or music video shows like Friday Night Videos (if you didn't have cable). It was like a free commercial for Return of The Jedi. The studio was smart to release it like that. My dad loved this song so much, and was not even a Star Wars fan.

  • Sy Snootles is now known as Ziro's death!

  • Tausendmal geiler, als die dumme Special-Edition-Scheiße!!!

"Lapti nek, rat a ran wim joct co jappi quaff

Lapti nek, kiv ba ha top wep jex pi va bep

Lapti nek, rat a ran wim joct co jeppi quaff"

  • Actuly the bit about boba get is true about three days in the sarlack pit an he charged up his jet pack and got out

  • This was in the original (good) version

  • im gonna do a misheard lyrics for this song, anyone know any free software to do so?

  • and thus, 26 years later, Sy Snootles got her big break under the pseudonym Lady Gaga

  • @tomontherun99 Yeah but Sy is a female...

  • @tomontherun99 LOL :)

  • Go Max Rebo!

  • been loken for this song for awhile its epic!

  • the original is always the best, space junkie

  • this is in star wars battlefront 2 on mos eisley assault i look for this song YEAH i like it a lot

  • starwars battle front 2

  • Lapti Nek was better than Jedi Rocks. This was one scene that I preferred George Lucas left alone, though Oola in the rancor pit was okay since it showed what was coming.

  • I have to admit, I'm kinda torn... the original puppet Sny Snootles isn't that great, yet the CGI Sny Snootles is terrible... yet Max Rebo is cool as ever...

  • I agree the CGI Sny Snootles and Joh Yowza are terrible. Lucas re-did Jabba in "A New Hope" from the Special Edition for the DVD release. (Now he looks like the Jabba in "Phantom" and "Jedi" rather then a Hutt with Down-Syndrome) I don't see why they didn't re-do the CGI for Sny and Joh.

  • Remember, Max Rebo is not an elephant, he's an Ortolan.

  • Ooh, he has an average memory, he sleeps lying down, gel.

  • Much better than the newer version

  • I disagree. It's too long xD

  • I meant the "U ni ta" one from the edited versions from the 90's

  • Yes, I know. But I think that this original version is too long.

  • then you sir, are an idiot ;)

  • Care to justify that one for me?

  • I just disagree and therefor you are wrong :)

  • @KingObould In that very statement you have proven that it is you, not I, who is the idiot.

  • inamonianim, the phrase "touché" comes to mind. Well played

  • @JCaithness Thank you, good sir.

  • This Song is in Force Unleashed when you go to Nar Shaddaa

  • The brass at 1:31 sounds like "Give it to Me Baby" by Rick James.

  • 0:19 i lmaoed

  • apparently oola pops out of her top in the dance but i cant see it.

  • Yep, you are ever-so correct. Also, when Jabba's barge explodes, Leia also has a similar problem but in the Special Edition, they cut it earlier to remove it.

  • Certainly a much cooler song, this; laid back and jazzy. I kinda prefer the rhythm of Jedi Rocks, it's just so much more lively, but the vocals, oh God, the vocals!

  • what a lively mix of jazz, disco, and new wave. Max Rebo Band rules!

  • 1:02 i hate that fat chick

  • it must be from the origanal.

(did i spell the last word right?)

  • Now I understand this was Lapti Nek, but were the unused clips the first attempt at a big musical number like Jedi Rocks?

  • Where is this video from? I don't remember the song being that long in the movie. Was this a music video?

  • it a music vid

  • @Ulalafanboy this is it... the original Jedi film. Used to have the original soundtrack too.. but it was messed up over time.

    Cheers!

  • @Ulalafanboy it was in the return of the jedi not amuhere but dif musicsic vid it was really in t

  • @Ulalafanboy it was on the laser disc trilogy collection... it is the song from when Oola (the green hot girl) dies

in the original Return of the Jedi

  • I'd like to live in jabba's palace or cloud city

  • Does anyone know why there are 2 versions of this song? You can find both on YouTube. I know this is not the version on the 1995 VHS release because those are the ones that I have. When was this version of "Lapti Nek" used?

  • it was used in the original cinema-version of ROTJ

  • this is the unused version of the song. Lucas didn't like this or the original take of the Ewok Celebration and made John Williams change them. Both unused versions appear on the 1983 soundtrack release, but were never used in the film. The versions that were used in the film weren't released until the trilogy CD boxset in the 1990s.

  • Actually IT WAS used in original (before first enchancing) RoTJ movie (i still have VHS where this song is actual paying and remember very well that RoTJ showing in my country in middle of the 80''ths have this and not Jedi rock song.

Jedi rock along whit changed Ewok celebration was added after second major remastering of original series where have been added "new" scenes from Mos Isely, Cloud City and of course for the first time short view of Coruscant .

  • playing*.

And to be honest i never understand whole concept of remastering of original trylogy (what is right now at DvDs is if i am not mistaken IV version of original movies).

But one thing IS sure. That song was in original cinema version of RoTJ.

  • I think you're confused. EweTooub is referring to this particular recording of Lapti Nek. Lucas had a "dirtier" version recorded with altered lyrics for the film. The awful "Jedi Rocks" song addition in Jedi:SE is a whole different ball of wax.

  • Yeah, I actually own that record, still in good condition.

  • I love the version of the Ewok song on the CD with the "Real Ewoks" singing. A little too silly for the serious ending though. They should have used it in the Ewok TV movies.

  • They should have had some aliens with white and pastel colered three piece bell bottom suits!!!!

  • I hate This part.

    Oola Didn't deserve to die.

  • I wish Oola had been able to escape.

  • @Jen32484 She did escape. And Boba Fett escaped from the Sarlac Pitt and they married and had half-clone half-Twi'lek babies. I'm sure it's all in a comic book somewhere via the Exploited Universe... or at least in some fan fic.

  • Really, that's interesting. I'd have to check that out sometime.

  • @Jen32484 Actually I was making a joke based on t fact that they DID bring Boba Fett back in the novels and comics so after reading your post I thought, why not Oola? The joke kind of steamrolled from there.

  • Ah I c, lol.

  • Sy Snootles is kind of creepy as a puppet!

  • @generalgreviousdude the CGI version ain't too cute either.

  • He's munching a frog I think!

Thats Femi Taylor, a lead in London's Cats back in early 80's. A great dancer and lovely lady. Glad she came back and they re-shot some of her stuff for Jedi - I wish she had escaped! Great scenes.

  • Hmmm mabye jabbas vault was unguarded or unlocked. or mabye they were being held prisoner and the enterance was unguarded

  • in 2:10 what wer that trandoshan and jawa doing

  • i looooove this song!!!!!!!!

  • snoodles is a damn good singer. You go snoodies!!!!!!

  • Cool Song. What would the world be without starwars?

  • a cold place lol

  • Oola!! Love her and this song!

  • I love oola as well. 1 question, How big a star wars fan are you?

  • Jabba's palace: the party only stops when someone needs to get sent to the Rancor, afterwords party on!

  • I LOVE BOTH SONGS

  • Is that hair on Sy Snootles's head, or just some hat?

  • I think its a hat

  • its a hat. snoodles species is naturaly bald man or woman

  • What the hell was George thinkin when he put in that one song Jedi Rocks in the newer one?!

Oh well, they're both good songs.

  • In Huttese it's translated Work It Out

  • That first alien chick, at the beginning - Does she have multiple....boobs? ._.

  • it makes you wonder dosnt it?

  • Yes, she is an Askajan, all Askajan women have six boobs. Her name is Yarna btw

  • Plus, an action figure of her has recently been released which is, shall we say, anatomically correct.

  • Great song! does anybody know where I can download it?? I've looked for it for ages...

  • I like the new version because Rystell, Greeata and Lynme are in it

  • i wish they just had the original song in the new return of the jedi but put in the cgi cause this puppet looks so retarded

  • I agree the puppet is hella ugly

  • So much better than that new song they put in! What was Lucas thinking...

  • dude that song its the best song of all the galaxie

  • Oola was such an awesome dancer! The other dancer was good too!

  • Yes, Oola was... :(

  • Yarna d'al' Gargan, was her name. It sucks that Oola got eaten by the Rancor...though she was defiant of Jabba the Hutt, she didin't deserve THAT!

  • I know. I enjoyed watching Oola and Yarna dance as a kid.

I used to wear upside down nylons on my head to simulate Oola's head tails. :)

  • I have to admit their lekku are sort of odd, and they're not born with them...but I knew Oola was a Twi'lek I just didn't know her name till about 2 days ago.

  • I agree, but she shoots off an "e chuta!" as he's tugging the chain, which is roughly saying "ef you" and it's sorta...well..dumb to say that to Jabba...poor girl.

  • i <3 max rebo

  • Jedi rocks was a better song but the lapti nek scene was better.

  • Funny thing-- the song is about working out and exercising.

  • Best one yet. More song...more Oola...awesome.

  • ORIGINAL LAPTI NEK RULES Ab queck zenick fesi Zong jup col checky hiz jal, ooh Wow! • Wow! Thanks for posting the lirics, I was wondering if there even was someone who knew them :P

  • Max Rebo Band is my favorite!

  • Love this song.. so addictive!

  • This is 1000 times better than that new crap George Lucas made for the remake. How can anyone like the remake???????

  • I agree though primitive by modern movie-making techniques, I liked the original graphics better.

  • I love this song. Thank you so much for putting this video here!

  • superior

  • Skyhighhawk, Oola is number 1

  • can someone write the letter of the song in this comentaries?

  • i like the beggining with the simple music!

  • yup yup

  • Oola is number 1

  • no problem

    DuDisNow

  • Thank you for lowering the lighting on this. I can see better!
