It was and is a must try. Chicken and phesant works well also. I prefer phesant and turkey. I guess it makes the hunt come full circle.

We cook fresh trout in foil the same way, everything tastes better with bacon.

@crappefilms Yeeaahh bbooyyee! I love trout fishing and I cook them the sam way nearly. I usually fill the inside of the trout with butter, salt and pepper. Never have tried it with bacon. But I'll bet its good.

Very familiar with that smoke-in-your-eye method. Bacon makes everything taste better. I'd even eat the stick the bacon was on. Fiber ya know. ;-)
