Its a beautiful car. Some of the Ford haters (my first car was a Ford and my second and third were Honda's but I am open minded) out there keep calling it a Aston Martin copy cat. Yeah there is some resemblance but any of you that have been around for awhile should remember what the front end of a 1967 Ford Thunder Bird looked like before you accuse Ford of not being able to create innovative style on its own. Check it out. Smile.
@V8Supercar1 Yes no V6, but the 2.0L Ecoboost 4 cylinder makes good power. 237hp 250tq isn't too bad for a midsize car, and it has better fuel economy than the v6.
@V8Supercar1 I agree completely. I think SVT should put the 3.5L ecoboost v6 from the Taurus SHO in the fusion. Combine that with AWD, stiffer suspension, and new wheels and body add ons, and I bet it would be a great seller.
@AutoandTechNews: Or even the mustangs 3.7 liter N/A 300HP V6 would be nice too. But im assuming you would prefer the ecoboost v6 because its better on fuel economy? but the one thing I can say is that their hybrid model seems outstanding. 47mpg city is insane! Its good to see them stay ahead of Toyota.
@V8Supercar1 Well the 3.7L v6 gets 31mpg in the mustang, so in a fusion i'd expect similar results with the car having around the same weight. And yeah the hybrid is pretty awesome. I'm excited about the whole platform for the car with all of the offerings.
Im not against ford actually 2 friends of mine bought one different years abd. Ever had problens. I always had bmw in my life but bimer cycle iscoming to a end. Still have an x5 v8 but it keeps breaking down and i cant dp nothing .. This fusion reminds me of the xf premium jaguar ... Lol !
Ford utilized their time when they owned Aston Martin--this Fusion is pretty hot looking. But I won't be buying anything new any time soon--got a Mazda 5 to pay for.
@Jmaltz9 Eh while it does have some Aston Martin styling cues (remember Ford owned Aston Martin up until recently), the car doesn't look like an Aston Martin by any means.
@Jmaltz9 Only the front end looks like an Aston Martin, the rest looks like a cross between the focus and the Taurus, and yeah Ford owned Aston Martin.
Thanks to Ford Europe's Mondeo specs & nothing like the last Fusion out of Detroit... The ENERGI and Titanium with all the tech goodies will probably be priced out of reach though.... BTW what video; the pic slideshow with audio? LMAO
If I'm not mistaken, the Chevy Volt gets 40 MPGe and not "8 more" than this car, since this car is from what you've stated, "100 MPGe for the plug in hybrid."
@gr8phuk That is the miles per gallon the car gets when the gasoline engine starts, but the Volt can operate on just battery power for 25-50 miles depending on different factors. That's why its called MPGe, miles per gallon equivalent. Thanks for your question!
It's about time. One ford wins worldwide with this sleek Mondeo derivative. With hybrid at nearly 50 MPG this car is KILLER. Now bring us the wagon too!!
@mwblank Yes it will just did some searching for you. if you go to Ford's website and go to the 2013 ford fusion. then click on features. then click on style. the 3rd one down is interior lighting and it talks about it.
They need to make 4.2 V8 Fuel Injected Sport one shit would be dirty. Like driving a maserati GT
BenefitMe1000 1 week ago
@BenefitMe1000 a fusion with a 4.2 V8 would definitely be interesting. I'd expect them to put the ecoboost turbo v6 in there first though.

@145rupert Yeah people need to not say Ford copied Aston. That's definitely not the case here.

Great job ford!
I own a 2011 base fusion with the Sync/moonroof as the only added options.
I love the car and was amazed by the features and price then. Now ford has really got it. I'll never go back to Chevy or foreign market.
madmax0251 1 month ago
@madmax0251 Yeah the current fusion is a great car and now with the new one it's really exceptional.

Will this be a cramped car for someone 6 ft 3 in tall and 240 lbs ?
SNLGUY 1 month ago
@SNLGUY I highly doubt it. I'm 6'3" and fit fine in my parents' 2010 fusion, even in three back seat. I'm sure you'd be fine in the new model.

Look's like a CHEAP knock of off the Tesla Model S. With inferior Chevy Volt like internals.

@DarthNefatious how does it look cheap? And what do you mean inferior Chevy Volt like internals?

Now the clowns who buy the Prius have no excuse to buy that ugly thing over the Fusion.
