Sony and Samsung use the same lcd panels in alot there tv's, LG are worst, i know. Some sony's are better, some Samsungs are better.

This looks like the old 40m86bd, 2 years old and allready, but still a nice model by Samsung becouse of the ulta high contrast ratio.

Nice TV. I got myself a Sony Bravia W 4500 model because it has a semi reflective screen unlike yor Samsung. Those reflections can be very annoying.

Tiesto!!!! get in there my son! pitty u dont have a 360 there aswell.. i could never have a plasma its not a case of they can cause burn in, its a matter of when they will! like sum1 said if u play alot of games stay clear of plasma! my friend has an samsung lcd, he plays alot of gears of war and the shotgun icon in the top right of the screen never goes away. its differnt to screen burn as its only image retention but if he had a plasma i cant imagine the damage that would have been done.

it's a shame Plasmas can cause burn in, as they kill LCDs PQ wise when it comes to color, blacks and Response time..But lCDs are better for gaming.

From what i have seen plasma's blacks are only better in very low light. The samsung lcds are pitch black in daylight. Nless you watch in near darkness they'll be hardly any difference.
