@TheHardWay71 I'm going to say the same thing to you that I said to the other guy that made this point: my $1000.00 PC can max BF3 with ease. Do NOT buy an Alienware... ever. They are overpriced, they have very high failure rates, and they often run hot. Frankly, Alienware computers are just for suckers that don't know what they're doing.Anyone who is even slightly tech savvy should just build their PC, or buy from a seller like CyberpowerPC.
Buying the console version is nice.. I can play with my other friends easily on xbox live and talk to them whether they're playing BF3 or not. My xbox is always hooked up to the TV and I don't worry about plugging my laptop in. I have a good computer but it can't run max, so the graphics increase would be minimal. The only real advantage of getting the PC version for me is the fact that it can host 64 player games.... a distinct advantage over the console version.
For all those people who think PS3 is better: think about it. It was released a year after Xbox. Lots of things could happen in a year to improve graphics. It should be better, but the fact that it's almost equal to Xbox is just sad.

In the sense that you do not have to ship your Xbox to Microsoft for them to fix it, or spend an extra $300 for a new one, PS3 is better.

@iLoveYoutuveVideos PS3 has free online gameplay, while you have to pay to play online on the 360. Is that a big enough difference? It also depends on what kind of ganes do you play cause the 360 is mainly focused on shooters and the PS3 has a bit more variety.

@playmania186 Proof that it was made for PS3? The only reason that the Xbox has two discs is that it doesn't use Blu-Ray discs like the PS3 so it can't hold all the information on one disc. Two discs means nothing. Besides, when multi-platform games are created they are usually made for the Xbox and ported to PS3. That's why PS3 exclusives look better than multi-platform games.
I think that the XBox beats the PS3. The PS3 has better graphics than the 360 BUT the 360 version is less buggy and has better servers, allowing for better gameplay. PC is ofc the best in graphics and gameplay...

PC - 60fps /w dynamic shaders (Providing the pc is fast)
Ps3 - 30fps /w dynamic shaders
X360 - 30fps /w static shaders
In theory the ps3 graphics should be better however in the examples the dynamic shader can't show off its advantages plus some people just prefer the simple black shadow to the dymaic one. A place where a dynamic shader would show off is behind frosted glass or a similar translusent surface.
oh my god, why do ps3 games look everytime a little bit more bad than xbox games. Ps3 got much more power. The best example is Uncharted 3, which looks as good as bf3 on pc

It's darker because the lighting effects are more advanced.
Go play BF3, and play with the lighting settings, You'll notice that most of the enviornment is lighter on the less advanced graphics settings. The lighting effects only apply to certain objects, instead of to every small little chair or somthing
@Xgenflamer im a ps3 gamer but i do agree with the fact that color depth is different, resolution, and fps is always different mainly because the technology is always changing and getting better but you should probably realize though why they do this on all remember console gaming is more affordable than pc gaming based on the fact that powerful computers are fuckin expensive so xbox has brighter colors while the color depth is lower on playstation but you can always put a higher brightness.

I have battlefield 3 on xbox, its awesome!! But i do think battlefield is a bit better suited for pc.. The graphics are also a bit betrer, but i dont care!! I love this game!!

We have to admit that PC has better graphics. But the fact that some people prefer playing on ps3 or xbox 360 because they think it is funnier, it´s not a discussable issue because all of us have different opinions. I have both ps3 and pc. My pc runs almost every game in ultra, but there are some games that i prefer to play on the ps3, even if the pc has better graphics. You guys can have your own opinion but it will only be respected if you dont criticize other people´s opinions.

I have a ps3, but im not a fanboy or anything you want to call me, but the xbox has an other kind of shadow compared to the ps3. @playmania186 Proof that it was made for PS3? The only reason that the Xbox has two discs is that it doesn't use Blu-Ray discs like the PS3 so it can't hold all the information on one disc. Two discs means nothing. Besides, when multi-platform games are created they are usually made for the Xbox and ported to PS3. That's why PS3 exclusives look better than multi-platform games.

A basic but true way to look at it is this
PC - 60fps /w dynamic shaders (Providing the pc is fast)
Ps3 - 30fps /w dynamic shaders
X360 - 30fps /w static shaders
In theory the ps3 graphics should be better however in the examples the dynamic shader can't show off its advantages plus some people just prefer the simple black shadow to the dymaic one. A place where a dynamic shader would show off is behind frosted glass or a similar translusent surface.

It's darker because the lighting effects are more advanced.
Go play BF3, and play with the lighting settings, You'll notice that most of the enviornment is lighter on the less advanced graphics settings. The lighting effects only apply to certain objects, instead of to every small little chair or somthing

@Xgenflamer im a ps3 gamer but i do agree with the fact that color depth is different, resolution, and fps is always different mainly because the technology is always changing and getting better but you should probably realize though why they do this on all remember console gaming is more affordable than pc gaming based on the fact that powerful computers are fuckin expensive so xbox has brighter colors while the color depth is lower on playstation but you can always put a higher brightness.
