@QuantumQuacks They do make a conscious decision to get in a car & drive after they've been drinking. You know that you've been drining and you know that you're getting into a car to drive. I don't believe you can be too drunk to know that you're getting in a driver's seat, putting a key in the ignition, and putting your foot on the pedal. Besides, must drunk drivers are imparred and not completed waisted, that's all it takes to kill someone.
Importantly, how easy is it to just not drink & drive?
I have hard time with your though process, but supposing you are serious and not drunk at the time...does this mean you can kill somebody while drunk? What about somebody speeding and crossing the center line? What if they kill a couple people? They didn't mean to after all. BTW...drinking doesn't make you unconcious.
@cksilverado1 The fact that most drunk drivers drive while drunk is wrong. As soon as you take your first sip of alcohol, you are making a decision to do whatever is coming to you.
Excuse me! I am going to delete your comment after I am done here.
But first of all, That man made a conscious decision to go out, and get drunk! As do many drunks!
And in that decision, he killed 2 innocent people! The only person that was not innocent that night was the drunk driver. So yes, he deserves life in prison.
Karolin, thanks for this, you're a good friend. I'm Sami's Auntie Linda, Ken's sister. My daughters Amanda & Steph & I miss her wonderful spirit everyday. We celebrate her life every May 5 her bday, by watching family videos & looking thru pictures & wearing pink, her fav color. Sami, You'll always be with me like a handprint on my heart. Be Free Forever ... xo
I come across this today & it really shook me a bit. My oldest daughter graduated from HS in June of 06; hwr, she & her class had their own hardship. A chair complete w/cap, gown, & white rose sat on the field for her best friend who died a few yrs b4 in an accident w/a firearm. You have my deepest condolences. I know that pain never goes away. Even I miss my daughter's best friend & my daughter's in college now. The hurt fades but never goes away. Warmest Sympathies for friends & family.
i do not know who made this, but i just want to say thank you. If anyone is still watching this, i am actually her brother (you may see a few pictures of me), my name is Spencer LeVeille and i just want to thank everyone who has watched this and supported it.
Well...we just received a call from production saying that the scenes slated for Wednesday may be pushed to Thursday 6/05. Please check your talent's availability for 6/05 just in case this push happens. We will let you know as soon as we hear anything.
Thank you for sharing your story...and I'm glad that they gave her killer life in prison...so many go unpunished...the guy who hit my son will only get a dui...I was lucky...my son survived it..My prayers are with you all...
you updated this because i watched this a week ago, I was there when we planted a tree to remember her, even though I didnt know her i felt a connection, i don't know but she has great friends that love her alot and her brother is in my pe and I see him everyday
yeah, i was there too, i was just inside watching, it was to hard for me to be right there. i mean when i talked at her funeral(sp?) after talking i couldnt catch my breathe.
I can imagine. She was your best friend ? That must have been so hard. I don't mean to be rude, but, how old was she ? Did it happen a long time ago ? You don't need to answer if this bothers you, and if you need to talk I'm always here for you
no ur not bing rude.......she was 13....it happened august 14, 2006 so a little over a year.......so i mean its still hard sometimez, sooo and thanx that u said i can talk to u........and u ever need to talk to me u can
oh im very sorry. ma and samantha were best friends....just the other day i heard my dad telling some of his friends about how me and samantha were born in the same hospitle on the same day and we were friends ever since.
What a beautiful tribute to an amazing spirit. I am glad I knew her even briefly. She touched so many lives and though her time with us was far too short, no one can say she didn't make the most of the time she was given. We love you Sam!
sorry for your loss
