Maybe I need to be shot but.....if you're Biracial (of which IF you are half/partial BLACK) then why wouldn't you be part African? I can understand the Black vs BiRacial part....but why would you cease to have African roots? In my opinion, almost everbody is bi/mixed. Germans, Irish, Italians, Russians all have way diffrent features, skins tones, cultures- but they're all lumped together as 'Whites'. Same with Blacks- Africa has well over 50 countries- you don't think there's a difference?

I long suspected this but didn't realize it (in India). NOW- would you say it's (colorism) b'c of the Caste system- or am I totally off base here? I actually like the dark complected girls of India (esp those of the Northern Regions)- but when I go to view them on the net- it's mostly 'light skin' girls that pop up as "Beautiful women of India". Interesting.

Now I'm a light skinned African- American. It ia a big deal in our family to marry light skinned people to keep the our family mixed. No dark skinned allowed. It is seen a low. Our family has been racially mixed for over 200 years. It is the way it should be. Most dark skinned people are jealous of the fairer skinned African Americans. That's the way it should be

Latino is not a race. Latino refers to anything of spanish descent and it also refers to the mixing of the natives and european spanish. So under your definition "latino complexion" can be anything from dark brown to snow white.

@sciath Latino is used to mean the same thing as Hispanic in the USA which simply means that one comes from a Spanish speaking country. People who are Hispanic/Latino can be of any race. And African, Native American, and European(Spanish) are the base roots of so called Hispanics/Latinos!
