  • Turkey canceled, Turkey announced that it was putting the planned purchase of 100 F-35 fighter jets from the US on hold because the Pentagon refused to share the source code used in the software designed for the aircraft, as well as the codes that might be used externally to activate the planes. Lockheed is the Pentagon's top supplier by sales. It builds the F-16, F-22 and F-35 fighter aircraft, as well as the Aegis naval combat system and THAAD missile defense.they have because un- friend latey

  • On July 11, 2002 Turkey became a Level 3 partner of this F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighters development program, and on January 25, 2007, Turkey officially joined the production phase of the JSF program, agreeing to initially purchase 116 F-35A Lightning II aircraft.

  • I hope the Netherlands wil buy these ones, the goverment said that they were going to buy 120 but now there are only plans for 85 or less

  • @Emieltes1 wow the netherlands i hope you get all you need.I was there many years ago when i was a teen and i must say grate place.wish i coulde go back someday i hope to.but venlo is or at leaste was a bit over the top for a 15 year old american but i loved it just the same.

  • That's a LemonJet Miracle I can accept!

  • cool fighter...

Israel purchased 25 aircrafts of A class already and will buy another 50 of B class.

i am jealous there some ppls will fiy on this thing...

  • @Geohan1988

Isrhell did not purchase anything. It was part of an "aid" package. Stolen money from U.S. taxpayer. It is a violation of the 1976 Symington and Glen Amendment, due to the fact that israhell has over 200 nuclear weapons.

  • @biped19 lol ive never seen someone say, israhell... thats funny

  • - the ? after beauty^^

  • Thing of beauty? Will the chinese manage to copy it?

  • Dreamy.

  • I still would preffer the Avrow Arrow :)

  • I hope Canada gets these.

  • @t5239857289578947594 Canada is one of the financial contributors to date and looks like Canada will get them for sure. I guarantee you, we'll make sure of it.

  • @t5239857289578947594 Canada has stated that they will purchased 65 F-35s which will cost $9 billion. $112 million per plane that is lot of money but I would love to see Canada own this generation 5 jets to replace the CF-18.

  • @t5239857289578947594 yeah same

  • I want to know who was designing the fan doors on this plane. It looks so much better with the split doors instead of the giant toilet seat lid on top.

  • @retsnom92

I agree but I think it's supposed to act as an airbrake, so that's why it opens like a lid.

  • Actually she is the best fighter out there. If it's a remodel then obviously its new as it would have been improved, right?

  • Nothing new. Only a Yakovlev Yak-141 modernized.

  • @redleocabral No it is not...

  • Actually, from the design point of view, it has nothing in common with tghe YAK-141. The concept 4 VTOL that is only used on the B variant was taken from the YAK-141. That is the concept of putting 2 means of propulsion 1 in the front & 1 in the back 2 achieve VTOL.. But the method is different. The Russians were using a jet engine in the front 4 the VTOL that was causing the engine 2 choke. The Americans are using an airlift fan system. This is a system that is simpler, cheaper & more reliable.

  • Just because something accomplishes the same thing in no way makes those things the same.

That's like saying all planes are nothing new, but just modernized.

  • I'm an ACS Tech and can't wait to get my hands on these! Ship it!

  • one of the best fighters out there 5/5...
