I had the priviledge and honor of singing this beautiful piece with the Interfaith Choir in Redondo Beach, CA in 2009 for a Thanksgiving performance. We had a 6 piece instrumental ensemble acccompaniment. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am thankful for the opportunity to participate.
I love this arrangement. My school's choir is singing this for our concert in November, along with several Mack Wilberg songs. Gee, I wonder what religion my professor is.... :)
im doin a solo on this today for the best choriliers school in the country not kidding neither Elko high school is awesome so im listening to this one part a million times to get it right
My choir is singing this and two other pieces. There's a reason this one is my all-time favorite out of all the songs I ever sang. The message is so beautiful, it brings tears from the very beginning. I love it. It's just undescribable. <3
I'm fourteen and already this song is inspiring me to really look out. Our world really is beautiful, and we should focus more on its beauty rather than what we can use to make riches. Our world would be so much more peaceful if we forgot about material.
Awh man, flashbacks. I remember singing this when I was like 11. I can't bear how they pronounce "praise" though. Our conductor always used to tell us NOT to make it sound so fractured, if you get me?
Still, fantastic piece. Testament to the wonderment of English composers.
... This cannot be all guys, right? That would be amazing. I am a contralto and can go really low for a girl and actually sound like a guy so I guess I wouldn't be too surprised... but still! Incredible! I can't even go that high lol! My voice just stops and cracks. Men with that kind of range amaze me. Woot!
The tempo is fast but \i think it's probably correct as I just heard it sung at this speed on the BBC morning service and their music standards are high (not to say the highest). As an atheist who is familiar with the older tune I very much enjoy this one, which seems to me to be an improvement.
This is a beautiful song, with beautiful pictures. God's creations are beautiful, and make you feel good. When I was in Hawaii, you had this feeling that made you feel so good. The smell of Hawaii, the sight, the sounds and even what you hear. But this video takes you in another world of happyness. Beautiful video.
I can't believe I didn't respond to this and yet saved it to my favorites. lol This is an INCREDIBLY beautiful video. Thank you so much for posting it here.
This was the traditional last song of the year when a I was in my high school choir. I love this song. Every time I hear it, it reminds me of our choir instructer who sadly passed away the year after I graduated.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! The music and the pics are delicious - "candy" for the eyes and the ears. So pretty and so moving. I love it! Thanks for the video.
WHAT AM I GOING TO GIVE MY CHILDREN IF THIS GENERATION WASTE ALL OF THIS WONDERFUL THINGS? I WANT MY CHILDREN TO SING THIS SONG SOME DAY IN THE FUTURE, NOT FOR TRADITION BUT BY BEHOLDING AND FEELING EVERYTHING THIS SONG SAYS, AND GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR THIS. wOULD THAT BE POSSIBLY?
i <3 this song

I have always loved John Rutter's arrangements. It's one of the things I miss from singing in a large church.

what they tried to do would have been alot more effective if it went with the music. too fast and sort of random!
